crc xti build using the new GQ tires
using the new GQ tires on my xti the off set is different then the normal 1/12 scale tires anyone know what i should be shimming them out too? or better what should the track width front and rear? thanks for any info

after you have alot of time on the car and the links start to wear slightly, then you can mess with the clamp screws to get rid of any play, but it's trial and error.

max track width is 172mm. the front is always narrower than the rear (the rear would be maxed out to 172mm), but i don't have a meausrement handy. i just bolt on crc front rims with 1 shim on the inside and go.

the new GQ tire offset is different on the front using the three shims on each side i still have about a 4mm gap between the rim and the nut . so i guess i should shim out the rear to max and shim out the front to about 170mm to 171mm

get the brace for the short arm suspension..= long brace
got mine put together today..still thinking about painting the edges of the chassis plates red..
ANYONE ELSE HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE SERVO NOT FITTING AND HAVING TO FILLE DOWN THE CF ON THE FRONT SUSP. MOUNTS THAT WRAPS AROUND? (lower left corner) took me about an hours to get it to fit..
and i think mine was missing the little rubber oring for inside the shock, instructions say its a travel limiter..

What's everyone using for front ride height adjustment? The aluminum spacers under the 4-40 screws are a PITA. Are they making new plastic shims for this, or you guys trimming up the plastic shims to fit?

That sounds very cool. I was at the track Friday and was like "wuuuuut?" I thought I was blanking out. Hopefully they come out pretty quick.

Just a quick update from the IIC...
Andrew Knapp took his Xti to an A-main win in the 13.5 Superstock class. Andrew used CRC Magenta front and rear tires in the main and set fast lap time in the process. Joining Andrew were CRC drivers Hupo Honigl and John Tortorice.
In the 17.5 class, it was a CRC sweep with Xti inline cars taking 2nd and 3rd in the hands of Mark Smyka and Kenny Lambert. Birthday boy John Tortorice had a lot to celebrate taking the TQ and win with his CRC Gen-Xi. John also used the CRC 1s lipo and CRC tires to win and set fast lap. Joining the podium trio were CRC drivers Carrissa Smyka and Robert Dirla making it 5 out of 10 drivers with CRC rides. The 3 podium drivers used CRC 1s lipos.
In the modified 1:12th class, Andrew Knapp put on quite a show with his inline Xti charging to the front in a fury of flying foam. An unfortunate and untimely "board" meeting sent him back a few positions. In his charge back, Andrew managed to hot-lap the field setting fast lap time in the A-main with his inline Xti. Knapp used Magenta front and pink rear CRC 1:12th tires.
In the World GT 13.5 class, another CRC podium sweep with TQ man Dave Ehrlich taking the win with his CRC Gen-X 10 LE and CRC lipos. Joining Dave on the podium, Denver driver Mario Ficco (2nd) and Brian Bohlman (3rd) in their Gen-X 10 LE rides.
It was another great event in Vegas and another great result for Team CRC!
