New to TC
I am also a newbie to this eletric on road. I run mostly offroad gas, but need some practice for the winter. Got a XXXS like mostly everyone, but know little about it.

Mike, I said it was tight, and it is fairly technical.
Gear for the corners, not for the straight.

does ne one calculate there tire height into their gearing? it can help u to fine tune especially when u r running foams. i run on a tight hairpin oval and run between a 28 an 29 roll out with my tire ratio. (3.14xtire height in mm) devided by the fgr

That's a good point...
Most of us around here run rubber exclusively -- at least in our TCs -- but if you are running foam it makes a difference, since tire diameter can vary greatly from set-to-set or from run-to-run.

what do you guys think of the Orion Chrome Stock motor?
#96
I use the chrome RS. I think Iam the only guy that used it on saturday night and made the 'A' Main with un matched, 1yr old RC2000's! It's a fast motor, but i miss my p2k.
BTW, jcr, are you "Team JCR" that i know?

18098 4.3 58 64 13.3
16668 6.1 75 64 17.3

And here are the numbers after a fellow racer (sting) & I spent a couple of hours on the motors (this is the motor the way I ran last night):
RPM Torq Watt EF Amps
24941 2.4 45 50 13.3
22477 4.6 77 65 17.3
20543 6.2 94 69 20.0

19080 7.6 108 67 23.8
18184 8.5 114 64 25.9
One of our local motor builders (acloco) is taking the motor and seeing what he can work with it.

What did you use for Constant Volts?

that doesn't look so good. big jim's motors seem to be in the 100 watt range at 20A

hey Speedo,
Dieters motors are better too, so what?
BJ has made references to 100W at 20A. and @28A mid 120's.
Being 11pts off at 20A and 5pts at 28A is workable. We have only had these motors for a week.
What is your hot setup for a P2K2?
