now for the hard one

I am running a Novak Ballistic Motor and and keep stripping spur gears. I have made sure the motor is tightened down ( I am not happy with the novak case as it doesn't seem to let you crank the motor down) and making sure my gear mesh is good

I even had another experienced driver tighten the motor and set the gears mesh with a new pinion and same issue. Its usually from me hitting something but I feel something else is not right. I am getting lunsford motor mount screws with the big cap to see if that will help.

Anyone experience this issue?
Hex wrench is 3/32" for the rear wheel screws.

I am using the Lunsford motor mount screws with good results. I ground away about 1/4 of the lower sunken aluminum washer (for clearance with bottom deck of pod) and roughed up the backs of both washers to maximize grip to the aluminum motor mount.

Having a soft bumper on the front of the car will greatly lessen impacts that can move the motor. Even Dumper of CRC has a front foam bumper.

Try running 48P with these cars. Its a much stronger tooth then the 64P. (making an assumption that you are running 64P).

Shawn is right if your hitting stuff go with a 48p spur. I used a 78 tooth with my 13.5 and 10.5 and it helped out a lot

Sorry if this is a dumb question but how long do the WGT spec tires last? Are they slow wearing?

They should last 20-30 races depending on the surface you are running.

Are you serious? Do they need to be cut? How about carpet?

At The Big Chill Race in Chilliwack the guys around my pit table were cutting the tires down to stop the traction rolling on the carpet. They were using 1cell lipos and 13.5bl motors. Due to the weight of the car there was almost no wear for the weekend ( I did not race WGT )

The fat boys should fix the problem. I run the bottom one with no washer and the top one with the washer.

On an outdoor high traction Bitumen (grade 6) surface running additive and 2s 17.5 we get around 3 hours of running from the fronts, (rears last longer).
On same surface 32 sorex on 1350g 13.5 2s TC's are down to the canvass in less than 2 hours.

Default New CRC Gen-X 10 LE

Finally got my Gen-X 10 updated with the new LE chassis. Wiring by OD Purple; so, you know it looks great. Will post pictures after its first shakedown run tomorrow on NorCal's new carpet track.

Default Wider front plate

I am about half done putting my LE together and noticed there is no provision to use the wide front wheel spacing. Is there going to be an optional mid plate to accommodate the wide spacing?

The GenX10 Front Pieces fit if you want to run a wider front end.

I picked up up one of the new LE Kitīs from the first batch that arrived at the european distributor. Well it was a straight forward built without any problems. I really like the new silver screws

What suprises me, is that a 2S Lipo is not a direct fit in the LE.
You can see the problem here:
http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/images/st...LE_2s_batt.jpg

The red stand offs seems so be much to short..ok they are made for use with 1S lipos.

Correct. The standoffs rested on a riser of carbon fiber and a thin nut too. Both aded about 1/8" to their height.
