I have something else to ask you

I was just about to make my list of servos to get. Then I was thinking. Right now I have standard servos in my truck and I was going to get the Pds-2344 and the 2343 for my buggy.

Can I keep my Helios on hsr to run my truck servo’s or do I have to buy other set of 2344 and the 2343 servos? or is there something I can turn off and on when I go to run my truck.

I really don’t want to buy new servo’s for my truck b.c. they are still new.

Thank you for your time.

James

James,
If you do not have digital servos, you will have to change the radio to the Normal mode. This is the switch behind the module. If you have a higher end analog servo you may get away with Super HSR (3 channel mode in High Response). The factory setting is Advanced HSR (2 channel mode in High Response).

Which is supposed to be faster 2 channel or 3 channel? I run the digital recievers myself. Thanks.

johnny55,
The 2 channel mode is faster than the 3 channel mode.

Well....

This thread and holding one in my hand has convinced me to take the plunge. My Helios should be here on Friday. Really looking forward to it.

I'm curious what servos people would recommend that I run in an 1/8 buggy. I've heard from a number of people that running digitals in this class is a no no, for throttle/ brake in particular. I'd like to utilize HSR, but is it worth the risk?

What about using a digital for steering and a high-end analog for throttle? Could I still utilize HSR?

Default Hmm

Why is digital a No No? I run digitals in my 1/8 Lightning pro...I dont race, but I haven't had a problem yet.

I honestly don't know why it's considered a no no by some. There are people thoroughly convinced of this. They say they burn out faster, even with epa set correctly. Whether they are right or wrong is subject to debate. I don't know who to believe.

The Helios is just great!!
But with so much settings possible, one gets sometimes puzzeled a bit.
- 3 way throttle: what is the advantage of this setting, and should it be advisable on a large wide track (asphalt/electric outdoors/rubber). any advise what the 3 way setting should be?

- laptimer: just cannot get it start working. can anybody explain the settings more clearly as in the manual ???
