James-
The solder joint is damaged where the module pins are soldered to the PC board. Either you can try to fix it yourself or you will need to send it in. The lower pin is for the antenna.

YR4Dude-
1. Hitech receivers wouldn't use them.
2. You can use the KR-297FZ receivers but must use the NORMAL response mode.
3. You can download the manual from our website. You will need either the PC interface or multi-setting adapter with VFS-1 card to program.

I just wanted to say thank you to Ko Staff.
I went in today with my radio in hand with a sad face not knowing what was wrong with my Helios.
Robert took it and did a little check here and then went right to work on it for me while I waited.
Did a super nice job and I was on my way in no time with a smile on my face....Wish I could have said the same for the traffic I had to drive through to get there...LOL

But to all those who don't know. Ko Has got to have one of the very best service and customer service people in there camp.
Thanks again Robert.
See you at the track.

Default KO Service

I have not had the chance to visit the KO facility in person yet. However, I have dealt with them in regards to service related issues (issues by user) and I must say that they were very helpful and cordial.

Where can I find a dealer list?
I am trying to get a new Vantage 2 to replace my older model.

I just bought a Helios and I have a few questions...

It came with 2 302fs on 27 mhz. One of the 302fs has a broken wire. Can I replace it with any generic 26 gauge wire?

The radio also came with 2 301fs on 26 mhz. And transmitter and 2 receiver crystals on 26.815. Is this legal in the U.S.?

And it came with a couple of sets of 27 mhz crystals. The guy told me that the crystals were halved? What does this mean? So If I have channel 12 or 9, what are they?

Thanks...

Also, how much would a Helios with 2 301fs on 26 mhz, a 26 mhz module, transmitter and 2 receiver crystals on 26.815, 2 302fs on 27 mhz, a 27 mhz module, 4 sets of 27 mhz crystals, and the KO tansmitter bag be worth?

Well first question first...
You can order strait from KO for the wire...
http://www.shopatron.com/product/pro....557.496.0.0.0
Second question...is 26am legel in the US...
Well it is illegal but I have seen a couple of people run it and no one from the FCC has come beat there doors down either..
Thrid question...I might be wrong but I believe that halfed means they fall inbetween frequencies so unless you race with other guys with 26AM you should be fine...Well unless the FCC comes knocking at your door...Then well run forest run..j/k
Last question how much is it worth...
Well more for people who have frequency issues at there track less if it is someone in an area where you only have 25-35 racers a week.
I saw a Helios go for $300 with three recievers 302f's and 2343 servo so probably in that range.
Hope that helps,

Hi Guys,

I mentioned awhile back that I purchased the Competition version of the Helios.

This is meant to have a better module then the standard EX-10.

Well, I want to go to Spektrum, so if anyone is intrested, send me a PM with an offer!

There's a list of KO servos in the manual and what mode they can be used in.

it's not listed but I thought that it was a newer servo updated from the 2343 it just has a heat sink so guess it should work .

Thank you Mr Shookie after noticing that vfs-1 was not listed I was hoping that the manual chart was a little out of date.

Hi,

I just got a JR Z-1 (same as the EX10) and I want to know if non KO digital servos would work on Advanced HSR. It's a Futaba S9550 servo.
