I have 20 runs on mine and they are wearing great! My BSR tires were smaller with the same amount of runs.

Any help to my earlier post?

Jack,

I have a few sets of JACO 1/12th scale wraps purchased last season just before the electric carpet nationals, new in the box...am I going to have problems with these rims??? OF the sets I used I did notice that the rims, especially the front are out of round but not broken. I just figured this typically happens to 1/12th scale fronts...

During the off season...I usually store my electric foams in zip lock bags...is there anything else you would recommend? Someone mentioned to sauce the tires before storing them...can't see how this helps.
Thanks

I dont think there will be any problem with them.

I had tons of tires left over from last year.. and i used them before I bought anything new.. they worked fine. They seemed hard at first but after a few runs- they were good as ever.

Lfartraice.. I could have sworn your post was about foam seperation? Anyway.. I have had a couple people mention that to me too.. I personally have never had this happen. Make sure you raduis the edges of your tires.. The more square your edge is, the more prone to chunking/seperating.

Also, glueing at least the fronts will aid in this too. I find glued tires faster at all traction levels anyway..(all 4)

these are just tips and by no means are they guranteed to fix the problem..

My limmited experience with the wraps has been fantastic.. hope it helps..

With the new wrap tires...How small can you go with them before they are no good.(mainly the 12 scale FRONT tires)
I trued mine down to 46 mm.This really doesn't leave that much usable tire left before the inner wrap!!
Can you run on the inner wrap?
Seem like a bit of a waste to true down the tires, run them only a couple of times, just to throw them out after you hit the inner wrap.

So I go to my hobby shop and they have Purple 2-stage 12th fronts and d.pink 12th rears. I thought there was just one compound at this time and that being double pink front and rear. So are these the same tires that have been out or are there now d.pink and purple fronts?

Also why is the inner stage now the same color as the outer foam? The first ones I had were a real light gray for the inner foam so will these work the same or the new production stuff different then what has been forsale already. Thanks

Carl- I think they will be fine. Most people did not have issues with the wheels. The new ones are stronger, but we have been running the old ones for years with great success. You can store your tires in a zip lock bag. Don't compound them and make sure the bag is kept out of the light.
Brian- We offer only two fronts and one rear in 1/12 scale. The darker base is a little firmer than the lighter base. Most people don't notice much of a difference. We now make all the 1/12 in the softer base and the sedans in the firmer one.
