mwcet-Yes trimming the rear wing down will give you more highspeed steering. Have you tried less antisquat or less toe in on the rear.

Hey Todd,
Matt told me the new tan thrust grease is part number 3066, but that is the part number for the old white super sticky grease. Is the new tan grease a running change now?

Todd, This past weekend I raced the Oklahoma Inv. race in Tulsa. Me and my buddies had a blast! You should try to make it next year. Anyway, I tried to tun my spool in my G+. Actually I did run the spool but I went through 3 sets of diff halfs during practice. How can I get my spool to have some kind of life span to it? In all 3 cases where I busted the outdrives I had just barely grazed the wall. Am I just doing something wrong or what? YEA..YEA..YEA..I know just don't hit anything but that is unrealistic in a first turn pile or some light racing contact. HELP!

When I use the inside shocks limiters to adjust droop, I end up with a preload on all springs (to achieve the 5mm ride weight).
Several drivers told me that's bad, a TC spring must never be preloaded !
What is your insight, have or not have preload? And if it's bad what's the best way, with the inside limiters, to adjust droop?

So the next logical question is if you use the metal outdrives, what do you wreck then? The CVD's?
I remember going through a number of CVD's in my gas car when using a spool and tapping a wall.
Is there anyway to build something close to a spool but with SOME give for those of us "less than perfect people"?

pookyt-you can get the trinity outdrive savers. They help a lot with that. I personally groove mine and then use the oneway rings.
gearless-Hmmm....how much limiting are you running? I have been running 2mm droop in the front and 5mm in the rear and have not had my springs preloaded too much. Some preload is ok....they do not have to float on the shock with full shock extension.
RichO-Our cvd's are large enough in diameter that they will not break. I personally would just use the trinity outdrive savers on the plastic outdrives. They will never break.

If you guys do decide to use the outdrive savers make sure once you put them on that the dogbone pin does not bind up in the outdrive. It has to be free.

Todd I think when Richo was talking about CVD's the only breakage I have ever encountered has been with my Aluminum ones where the pin hole elongates and will break. My fronts always wear faster then the rears.
