Wookies suck as a rear tire in my opinion. They make a pretty good front tire in the right conditions though. Well actually I never found a place they would work well at. If you do not like M3 holeshots then Red King Pins might some places the Proline rubber just works best. What kind of dirt is it (indoor clay, outdoor loose dirt etc.)

Nah..steer from Pro-Line if you're looking for something that will last..
If Holeshots are the hot ticket, then King Pins will be dialed. And Losi rubber lasts for a long time! I put over 45 minutes on one pair of King Pins at the Nationals in Vegas..they last forever.

walking losi billboards you all are!
ive run losi kings and proline holeshots, neither lasted longer than the other, neither seemed to grip better. i will say the holeshot SEEMED to have a tiny bit less side bite, which i liked. made the truck drift a little more predictably. that could be me though

the only losi tires i like the feel of are the directionals, and the kingpins. all the others are usually either too grippy or too loose.
im not saying the fastest guys arent using losi, im just saying thats what im fast with and thats what i like. i run what works for me, not the pro drivers.

M3 whole shots are great, but they dont last, thats why Im asking.
THe trck is red clay outdoor, packed pretty good but watered so it doesnt blue groove. It seems to be a snake eye track sometime and a whole shot sometimes
AW what type of rubber do you recomend?
I will also try r3 proline

Although I do not have any personal experience with the R3 compound those that have used them say they work well on wetter tracks. The drier the track gets the better the M3 will work. Pro-line tires can work at tracks. I can put 25-40 runs on a set of holeshots at SoCal raceway. I can get one run on them at Hot Rod hobbies so it depends on the track! I feel losi tires last longer and work better at most tracks but this is not always the case. At blue groove tracks even the pro-line guys run losi tires. (Hot Rod hobbies and SRS Az.) Prolines tires just do not work on blue groove tracks. The second you add dust to the equation you have a different story.

aye casper, im the first to admit proline anything doesnt hold up very well on blue groove tracks, the few ive tried out. ive ripped innumerable studs off square fuzzies lol

This may be an odd question because to get traction you need adhesion between the tire and the dirt but....Is there a solution to apply to offroad tires to keep dirt from sticking/clumping to the tread?
I noticed that after we wash off our Losi 8-rib fronts (water only) that they are actually a little sticky to the touch. I think this ends up sticking dirt to the fronts during racing conditions therefore lessening steering by filling in the ribs.
Do I just need to experiment with wider rib fronts and farther apart spiked rears?
I'm using the Losi 8-rib (red/soft) fronts and Proline Holeshots (M3 I think/soft) rears on an indoor packed offroad dirt track. It's normally a little damp, but not so much that it sticks to your shoes.
