Ummm, that would be digital steering and analog throttle / brake right? They are excellent servos too. Team Serpent uses Sanwa stuff extensively.

But I seem to think that Sanwa does not come out with the high torque VB servos anymore. Cannot find them anywhere...

Default servos

I'm going to get digitals the day that i fly choppers... Now for car/buggy... The $40 bux Hitecs or JRs are more than good, in fact excellent !

Like I've read somewere; A digital throttle servo is too fast for carburators... it can give you headaches... and for steering I'm always slowing down the response of analog servos anyway...

I have from $144 Airtronics to Hitecs, JRs and Futabas.

My choice at the moment is the Hitec HS-625MG for both T/B and ST; (they use them to steer and race 1/8 buggies!)Less than $40 each. 94.43oz.in torque, 0.15sec speed, metal gears, and to show that they really work now Hitec gives you a no Hassle, no questions asked replacement warranty. if you crack it in a crash you send it to them and receive it repaired or a new one free. (If you send it in 20 pieces inside a ziplock bag they might charge you 20 bucks for a new replacement...)

The $100+ digitals are very good indeed, the KO is a great servo. But you don't 'need' to spend a fortune to have a top notch servo working for you.

This is my opinion

I must admit that I was going to get 2 KO's but I got the multiplex for $20 less, and there was another hitech with a cool alu horn, for $ 50, but I thought that I will rather get a red one, I suppose you could paint them...

Mines faster coz it's a red one, and it has a black gt stripe

I just went back to default settings and used red springs. The reason I was traction rolling on that particular day was that there were so many cars and nitro fuel was all over the track making it very sticky. I will try to run it again with alor of cars to try and correct traction roll but as of now im happy with the way it runs. I have understeer so will play with the front roll bar first next time.

Faster although slightly lower torque. A friend of mine swap the 2344 to 2343 for the steering and noticed a lot of difference in speed of steering input.
I prefer to have more torque.
PDS-2343 111.oz of torque .08 S @ 60 degrees.
PDS-2344 180.oz of torque .13 S @ 60 degrees.
The difference is the 2344 has 69.oz of torque more and is only .05 Seconds slower.
I don't think I'll notice .05 seconds.
I know I'll notice the 69.oz of torque.
That's why I stick with the 2344 instead of the 2343.

I run the same servos in my 1/8 on-road.
I love having the extra torque.
Here's a quote from the KO Propo website.

"Josh Cyrul used the new EX-10 Helios combined with the new PDS-2344 servos to get him to the TQ position. Ralph Burch Jr. used the EX-1 Mars R and PDS-2344 servo for the steering and PS-2173 for the throttle. "

Ralph and Josh chose the 2344 over the 2343.
Makes me feel like I made the right servo choices.

I have asked to change to the PDS2344,

I hope they will be able to make the change...

Ah, that is if you could use all the torque that is available in 2344 ! We're driving 1/10 TC Nitro and not 1/8th scale off road here...

The speed may be little but there's difference in handling. If you happen to have a guy who has a 2343 servo, put it side by side with yours and see both servos steer and you'll know what I mean.
