I know i run a 4600kv on 2s with the stock Spur gear with a 13t pinion /No Timing or boost . I may need to mess with the Throttle Expo to negative 10% or more it gets up to speed pretty fast going onto the straight lol.

Sorry its on a small tight Carpet offroad track.

If i go with a 12t i think it would be Undergeared.

Considering that the 4600 runs best on 13-14 pinion, I would think the 4000 would need at least a 14-15.

Yea it does run good with a 13t pinion on the 4600kv but il try to mess with the Throttle EPA first if that doesnt slow the top end down il tune down the EPA to about 90%to 85%.

I have the GK diff shims for inside the diffs can i use the smaller washers or do i use the bigger ones like the stock ones ? With the small ones theres enough gear back lash so i dont think it will be a issue. When i turn the outdrives nothing is binding or anything like that.

Im running the stock diff cases by the way.

That really needed to be a lot bigger and in bold. Something like:

TLR has announced the SCTE 2.0

I totally missed that post and was wondering how everybody knew about the SCTE 2.0.

Anyway, something I read on that thread that I thought was an excellent idea was that people with the SCTE 1.0 who might want a more detailed manual can download the 2.0 assembly instructions and apply them where useful in case the explosion diagrams are not enough - certainly would have helped me a couple of times when I was unfamiliar with the truck:

just be aware that when you do that...it messes with the powerpand/power delivery so it wont be as smooth as it should be. When i did this i lost alot of low end along with top end just just learned more throttle control as it threw me off more turning down the epa then by having too much power

Yea your right and being geared lower it can hurt it with ethier setting than being geared higher . Il just be smoother on throttle so it doesnt get up to speed so quick. its not like i can really go full blast down the straightaway anyways.

for me...on the esc i just went with whatever power felt good for take off(punch setting on the HW) and called it good! I could dial down the EPA alittle without much ill effect but at some point your going to notice its effecting the full powerband and not what it SHOULD be

What's that on the bottom of the chassis? Bubble wrap?

Yea, sorry, but you would've been better keeping the entire surface flat without holes, and just mounting with 3M double-sided industrial tape.
