Regionals.....when
Rich Browne.....
sorry about this being off the subject but I need to start making preparations. Is the RAMS hosting the Regionals and if so when? I can't seem to find anything on the ROAR website or anywhere else. Thanks and I appreciate any information.

I have posted (at the Empire Site) Scott's set-up. Let me know if you have any questions.

We measure up-travel. Droop and up travel accomplish the same end results. I am more comfortable measuring up travel. The majority of us (Scott Kimbrow, Rick Davis, Jim Adkins and I - 75% of Empire Racing) all ran for and were taught by Ron Paris. Ron was a classic. He did things his way - (that should make a few folks smile) - can you sense the understatement?

Actually Rich, droop and downstops have incorrectly become synonymous in a lot of racer's vocabularies and I am just as guilty as the next guy. I know what you mean but the others may not.
Downstop==Point measured (in millimeters) at lowest part of arm or knuckle relative to the chassis, with the chassis being 0mm. This is typically measured with the chassis on blocks and a stepped gauge.
Droop or Up travel (what Empire team uses)==Car settled on flat board ready to race. Hold a metric ruler perpendicular to the flat board and slowly lift the chassis. Note the measurement from the settled ride height to the point where the tires lift off the board and this is your actual droop or up travel measurement.
That said, am I to understand you have the rear downstop screws backed out entirely? I can just see Ron watching this thread now laughing his ass off

Upstop/Downstop - Droop

John, we (Empire) don't use the front downstop at all. The Empire Sway Bar bracket doesn't even allow for that adjustment. Additionally, we don't us the rear downstop either. The upstop (rear) is used just to protect the shocks. You racing Sunday?

Hi to all. I just got the evolva and ran it over the past weekends and found out that the rear shocks were oily like leaking somewhere after a few tanks of run and the others that"s not leaking become (dead) no tension without spring on it and is still full of shock oil in it.I have never had this issue in mrx3 and can the mrx3 shocks use in the evolva?

Will the evolva have the front wide belt conversion kit available sometime?

For the record I run no upstops (which is confusing 'cause they prevent the chassis downward movement or bottoming out)
9mm rear droop and 0mm front droop.
The car is awesome by the way...
Rich can you ask Scott what his settings are?
