JR XR3, 3PDF or Lynx 3d

I've had the XR3 and its a great radio and I've never had a glitch and the servos aren't as bad as the Futabe S3003. You can actually used them to race with. Once you start looking for every advantage in racing, you will need a new radio. Even though the Futaba has exponential, you really won't be able to take advantage of high speed digital servos without some servo speed control. This brings you to the realm of the KO Mars, Airtronics M8, and the Futaba 3PJ. (I don't know about the Lynx 3D).
Finally, as everyone else recommended, you need to feel comfortable with the radio. Try to hold each one for a while. Frankly, I hate the look of the Lynx 3D, but that's just me.

Expo's is where you can set the wheel to have not as much steering a near at the beggining and have more steering at the end. I mean like at the beggining in regards to the wheels set in neutral. You can also set it vis versa. Hope you understand cause I don't really know how to explain it. It helps so you don't overstear in a sweaper and if you have a small tight track and you need lots of steering then you can set it the other way so you automaticaly have lots of steering on tap.

P.S. Sorry, yes the jr servo's are better then the Fut 3003's, the jr's output 49oz/in and a .19 sec/60 degree transition time.

okay
I think I know what you are tyying to say fatdoggy...
I got the PDF today with no servos, Receiver only for $107...the guy said its only a month old. I read the manual briefly and I think I need to read it all over again. Is there really a use for the 3rd channel?
Also for those who use PDF before...whats the volt reading on the screen? I bought 8 regular AA's batts and the reading is only 10.2V...I thought it should be 12 because 1.5V x 8 = 12.

really? it's not rare that the batts don't live up to thier full 12 volt rating, but 10.2 is pretty close to dead. I have a JR XR2 and i'm happy with it, never glitched. Anyways i after 9 volts on mine it's dead ( or at least the warning thing comes on).
So i'm guessing you got crap batteries.

Duracell 2X
I always use that batts...on my Futaba 2PCKA it works best...its about 3 hours of life...maybe 20 packs or more of batts...
The PDF warning light doesnt come off till you got 8.7volts or less...
I'll try different brand of AA's and see if it will be the same..

does any one know if the other radio manufacturers are making radios with such things as the spectra as on the 3d

Yes JR(R1 pcm) and Futaba(pjs pcm) but I've heard no one confirm that they can be used with the new xxtra reciever.
