screw that, im not gonna mod these $25 outdrives, they were a huge waste of money. I took a chance on them, they shoudl say right on the package, "these are useless and wear out after 4 runs". Same with those Blue alum Uni's that come on the SDW and BDM. They should just clearly relabel those packages as "overpriced junk". I'll stick with the cheap plastic, its cheaper and it works.
Those TC5 blades dont fit at all.

BC18, I use the aluminum spool in the front and plastic outdrives in the rear.
And both last a long time as long as you put Grease on the out drives....
The universals included in the BDM should last quite a while in 10.5 also..
just make sure to put a drop of thin oil in the joint area....

Im not sure you can find them anymore but I have a set of Delrin Outdrives from Excel. I was told that Masami used them, They haven't worse much in 6 months or racing.

i've used a simple 3mm drilling bit on a dremel tool to file the outdrives...5 min. work....very clean
you can try manually using a thin a metal file ...but yokomo's Ergal is very hard .....and i'm so lazy :-D
P.S
remember: aluminium diffs are designed for short dogbones.....if you want to use plastic blades on standard lenght dogbones you have to increase the diff cut using a drilling tool....
sorry for my bad eng,
good work
Ciao!

??? Yokomo USA
I have to ask the same question...about Yokomo USA..
they've gotten pretty bad the past few months or so...
Is something going on? anyone know anything?
I attempted to place $200 + orders a couple of times and both times they never processed the orders, didn't call me or confirm (verbally gave them my all my phone numbers and email address)...gave them my card number twice and they still got it wrong...asked for a confirmation of what was in stock ...nothing...
I gave up and ordered overseas...
tried to support them in US but they didn't leave me much of an option. I used order from them all the time without a problem.

Then i ordered again last week and he shipped it the next day w/ priority mail and i got it in 2 days. I was very impressed!
Also I discovered what all you guys were talking about the BDM/SDW aluminum universals wearing out. I can see they wear at the pin/crossjoint exactly like these outdrives wear without CVD blades. Very poor. I did mod the outdrives and got the TC5 blades to fit. Looks very sharp and holds up well.
