Is anyone still messing around with teeth cut off of the black belt for 19T Rubber? I switched back to the full belt and the times were pretty even, but with the NORRCA nats coming up I was wondering if anyone one else has an opinion on the drive train drag of a cut vs. non-cut black belt?

I've always run the black belt cut. I run modified and not once had any problems with it.

I've been running Orion but I'm going to try Team BrOOd this weekend. Eddie is a good guy and I've seen some of the motors he's sent Randy and I've been really impressed. I'm getting a KR based motor from him for this weekend. I like the Orions but they just don't have any bottom end. But I haven't done much to try and get that bottom end other than trying to put different arms in them.

Been running an Xray but got sick of ordering parts! So I bought a G+ to run the car is dialed just wanted to ask a questions that I'm sure has been asked a million times!

Front droop, are you guys doing any tricks to keep the tabs where the droop screw threads thru from flexing?? Or using limits in the shocks??

And are you guys running the 0R block up front in which case the droop screws are eliminated all together??

Thanks in advance!

Kevin

I am running the 2R block up front and I am using the shock limiting method for both front and rear. I don't run a rear bumper to save weight.

JKerr: How many teeth are you cutting currently? Have you found that the belt wears out or stretches?

BTW: I am going to have a setup for hot climates, good traction and spools coming back your direction after this weekend.

The droop screws don't work on this car at all. That's one big complaint from everyone. Just limit the shocks and use the shock ends to adjust droop.

Its a pain setting the droop. Teadious task that requires some patience. Hopefully they will fix this issue in the "new car".

Are you guys tending towards measuring the droop with the ride height method or Losi gauge? I flip back and forth, but I find the gauge awkward at times because it rocks slightly leading to minor inaccuracy... probably me but...

Disclaimer: "new car" refers to a car yet to be named or announced, sure to be coming, but completely denied at this time.

I'm cutting every other tooth and I've been running the same belt since they came out. Drive train is nice and free and no major wear.

Send me that setup. I'd be interested to take a look at it.

Buy the extra rigid bumper part# A-4237 it is a hell of alot harder but you may have a better chance of breaking it though

Droop doesn't change with tire wear, ride height does and for that if you have threaded shocks that's a piece of cake to change.

Those bumpers break way to easy. Just set the droop by the shocks. Its a pain at first but once you get it down its really pretty simple. You'll never have a problem with droop after that.
