We have tried all these clays and putties and even tried blu-tack. The problem is they start to mangle the gears. The gears need to be able to move to create the diff effect and with the putty and clay the gears are trying to move this stuff about. It goes between the teeth in the gears and literally spreads them. After a while things weaken and the gears either mangle up or the case gives.
I have seen a lot of bent gears. If you want a real stiff diff then try using something like vasoline. I use it and it works.

Finally, due to the dealers i have access to, i have to decide between 2 engines :
1.- Novamega SX12 RE EV1 TURBO (its not the last "SS" model, its the old one)
2.- RB V12 TURBO (not the rody version, the normal turbo version)
Any help with this ? ...

The 2 I own seem to get faster the more i run them. The C12 I have has over 2 gallons thur it and it started as an offroad now in my NTC3 and it is plain sick fast for a side exhaust pullstart. The X12 3 port rear I bought used and it's still very tight I don't think its hit full potential yet. But it is very fast and reliable in my mtx3. Super easy to tune and never any regrets. Haven't spent the money for a nova mega so i have no input on those. The V12 RB is supposed to be an evo of the X12 and the X12 a rear Exh. Evo of the C12.In any case They are always $$$ saved rather then spent and lost. I have never broken any Part but Have Given My C12 a Head Plant into concrete on a jump at 25-30mph bent 2 fins straightened them out and it still runs faster and smoother then any other motor i have owned. My STS D3 Has Quicker response then my X12 but it is a mod and From my RB experience the X12 will get faster with use but it is my practice and back up motor for now.Nova's are the benchmark that everyone builds thier motor's from so decide on what you are really looking for.RB in my book has Reliabilty and speed as far as .12 goes... (sick speed?) Maybe ask in engine threads

Agreed 200% with Fisher. My X12 is my back-up engine now that i've rebuilt it with some mods, and it still kicks a&%&s.
Go for the V12 without doubts, it has far better technology than the Novamega SX12RE Turbo (2 years old), you won't regret it
