are there any mods that I will need to do in order to run the xxx-s one-way?????

I was told that I need to change the shock length as well as do "something" with the outdrives (or was it the "retainers")

I hope you can answer these questions for me....I have the buggy on the way and I can't wait to run it....

hey arron been really tryin to get my set ups down and have now came to the dillemma of foam inserts, soft tire,soft insert=hard packed? loose rough track med.tire, med. foam? loam= hard tire,soft foam? would love if u could break it down the best u can! thanks!!!

ghoppa - I don't know really a whole lot about the XXX-4 and XXX-S because I've never spent a whole lot of time with either. Chris Doughty on the XXX-4 thread is great and will be more than helpful.

thedoc - I always run soft tires, Losi Red compound. Loamy or bumpy tracks need soft inserts, smooth or packed tracks need harder inserts. Two-stage foams are a good balance of both and come in handy when racing on multiple track conditions!

I use Airtronics 94359's in my buggy. I am not sponsored by an electronics company, so I am going to buy the best.

RB motors are certainly no slouch (current IFMAR World Champion).

are you talking about the two little set screws that hold the pins in place????? if not please explain

MY buddie has a AD2 and says those two set screws are giving him problems.

Im probaly gonna grab a AD2 today or tomorow, and just trying to have list of bullet proof stuff to do to it, while building. Any tips are greatly appreciated

I'm not Aaron but I'll share some info with you. I use Airtronics 94358 servos in my buggies only because the 59s are more expensive and I have 4. I have a modded RB WS7II running 30% White Lightning with an extra .1mm head shim and I'm getting almost 11:30 on 1 tank with my Jammin X1 CR with temps in the 230s. It's set up for a short track so I'm running a 13 tooth clutch bell, mugen aluminum shoes with mugen 1.1 springs, an 063 pipe with long RB header and RB4 plug. The low end is crazy fast. Great "squirt" from corner to corner. I'm usually first out of the gate and down the straight.

I beleive the 359's also have a metal failsafe gear, so they are less likely to strip out from hard impacts, and you shouldn't fry the motor as long as you have your endpoints set correctly.

what do you think about this idea I had....Take the gold "ball stud" washers and put them on all 4 screws BETWEEN the rear pivot block and the pivot plate. This would creat a gap and essentially lower the the rear bit of the chassis thus lowering the CG of the rear end.....it sounds confusing, but if you stare at your car long enough, you'll see what I'm talking about.

I dunno, just sound's interresting.

If he is having problems with the set-screws, just use a 1.2 rear shock shaft with an e-clip on the battery side so it doesn't slide forward. you only need it for the left side the right side hinge pin is captured by the batt box & tranny case.

I was wondering do you guys use the set screw in the front and rear axles???? The switch over(from gt to losi) is taking place, as I type. LOL This kit sure is quality.

Do you tighten the servo saver all the way down?
