Please tell me one of the 4s or 5s brick packs(used in every conversion on the market) will fit and not just the 7.4 2s packs?

it's hard to tell but i think the battery tray is the same as the ve, they show 2 2s packs on their side like the associated battery tray so it's hard to tell how wide it really is

It looks wide enough, I am not sure about the length though.

If you look at the straps they appear to be at least a 1" wide and there is three of them, this looks very similar to the tray that was on my Losi Eight E which fit a 5200mah 4S no problem with enough room to put 1" foam at the front of it. Look at the picture in reference to the servo holder. I think there is 6 or 7 inches of space in that tray. JMO

I checked with Kyosho USA today, there is only about 5.4 inches of length in the battery tray because of the staggered design. But the hard case Thunder Power batteries should fit. My local hobby shop has the VE in stock I am going to measure myself to be sure. I back ordered the conversion to make sure I would get one from the first batch.

Are you converting at existing car or putting it into a new one. If new, a SE version?

Not MP9 new, I have a like new Kanai 3, a NIB 777 WC and a 777 converted to a GT (soon GTe), the 777 WC is going to become a GT2 with an STR chassis and Ipanema Kyosho Evolva 2 speed conversion.
