Default Help for ESC settings

Hello everibody,
i will shortly be a Black Diamond owner and before i get started with testing the speedo, i wish to ask for some advice with the settings.
Which are the values to set as a good starting point in order to stay on the safe side ?
Motor used LRP 4.5 Octawind on a very long and fast asphalt track.
Thank you.

Does it have the new software 3.01, and do you have the programme for you computer to make changes?

I ask as the help file/manual mentions a few settings with regard to mod.

I am not sure which SW release the speedo will arrive with.

I have received in advance the program and help file/manual.

Still i have a few doubts on correct settings for:

Minimum and maximum values for Start RPM

Minimum and maximum values for Mid TIM

Minimum and maximum values for Top Timing

Don't use top timing, you have a mod so get it working correctly first.

Start rpm, 2000 and low mid timing, 10 or something.

You should have no problem running 4.5t on this speedy just make sure you check temps after 2 minutes when practicing to be safe and dont overgear the motor. I have seen these speedy been used and I am going to be using this speedy in australia where the weather is hot with no major problems. Plus they are weapon fast

Depends on what you are running in 1/12th if you are running 10.5 or 13.5 1s
then you sould be able to use profile 5 just make sure you have the right roll out and always and i cant stress this enough do some practice before you race with the setting to make sure you temps are ok and your comfertable with the speed and aceleration. If your running Mod 1/12th or Pro 10 then i would start at Profile 3 and go from there depending on track, temp and skill ect.

ran my BD with a trinity duo3 5.0 in my CRC GEN Xi at the carpet nats in Texas and started out at profile 4 with a 39.6" RO and was debonding the Buds DBL stick and getting to about 140 on the temp with no fan. stupid fast and I couldn't drive it only turned a 9.7 sec lap. lemuiex and Hebert were tapping 8.8 8.9 kicked it back to 3 and was working on setup and got to a 9.4 lap not bad for the first time driving mod at a big race since 2004 with a 9x2 brushed motor back in the day. going to the region 5 race in cleveland next month to work it out some more. will update when I get back. love the smoothness and even I can't blow it up!

everything is slow in blinky.... but it is at no disadvantage in blinky and might be better on a slick track as it's still smoother then a tekin. I ran both tekin and bd in my tc and couldn't tell the diff on a high bite track. same laptime for both.

Yeah, this ESC felt fantastic in blinky 13.5 sedan.

What's the deal with the drag brake. Is 4 really the least (other than none?) It seemed rather strong. Do other versions give you more flexibility with drag brake? I'm on 2.1.

Has anyone used the BD in mod TC ? I'm considering a 10.5 motor with some mild timing ? Are the brakes adjustable enough for a semi mod wind like 7.5 ?
