Carlos,
Sounds cool, I have started my body, just not sure if it will be done for Sunday.
I have some family stuff on Sunday morning and I am planning to head down after, might miss first round though

Is this kit out yet, or is there a release date if it isnt? Looks like a have to have it kit.

Based on Tamiyas other releases I would say it will be here in the next couple of months. I gotta figure out how to swing one of these.

The Walter Wolf is not really anything I would get but I hope they will continue the old style and will also do the 312T and FW07.

Default Lotus F1

Finally finished my Lotus F1 T127 car. The chassis is an F103.

Thanks! I got them from Brad (BPSHADOW), which in turn, he got them directly from D-Drive Sports website. One of the coolest features of this particular car is the diffuser. It is #1 out of just 2 in existance. It is a hand layed up carbon fiber diffuser designed in house by my racing buddy Jason.

Thanks! The body is a Chevron F1-08 which I was lucky enough to get from Brad since D-Drive Sports was out of stock on those for a while.

The color was a custom color. There were a total of 3 colors used to make the green. I can look back at the bottles to tell you what specific greens we used. (I'll get that and posted soon). There were two greens and black. But it all worked only when backed up by silver at the end.

The wheels/tires were hand painted! So no decals what so ever there. That took a LONG time to get done.

The camera on top is a hand made one. I used black plastic for the support structure and balsa wood for the top unit, reshaped it, painted it, and added the yellow and black vinyl on top. I just hope to keep the car on the shiny side up!!!!

Wow, nice job on the Lotus. These F-1 bodies are so narrow, I dont know how guys like yourself and BP Shadow mask them off for some of the detail work.

Yeah we need Tamiya to do more cars from '78. Of course my favorite would be Andretti's title winning Lotus 79, which should be possible as Tamiya has links to Lotus and they are releasing a 1/20 Lotus 79 plastic model. Maybe that will lead to a 1/10 Lotus 79 body! I hope so!

Also would like to see Hunt's McLaren and Lauda's Brabham, and Alan Jones 1979 Williams FW07.
