...I figured you guys weren't using much w/ the 21.5. On the OVAL even on the large VELODROME we're only using 1300-1500 mah w/ the 21.5. (We only use 1700-1900 with the 17.5's) We run 5 minutes...and last time I ran On-road 19t/6 cell it seemed like the TC's used way less battery than the oval cars.

Oh - we use the ORION 3200's exclusively right now....on the oval.

ROBK - I still haven't found those springs yet...but I know I still have them SOMEPLACE.

Rob, what ESC are you using currently and have you used a differnet one in the past?

If a racer wanted to get into 21.5/LiPo for TA but also be able to use the same gear, say for Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet for the 1/10th scale truck class this winter, what would you suggest they buy?

I have the SpeedPassion GT LPF 1.1, the new speedo for milder motors. The limit is 5.5. You probably could use it for 10.5 in a truck, as it does come with an optional fan. It is also supposed to be optimized for use with 4 cell, as the original GT wasn't as good on 4 cell from what I understand.

Just wondering how you'd see that working out?

7.4 volts and a 17.5 means it's stock rubber class not TA.

No, that would essentially be a 6-cell pack on a 17.5 competing against 17.5 on 4-cells. Doesn't make sense.

The formula right now is fairly even with all options, and like every other motorsports sanctioning body, should the need arise to even out the competitive landscape, we'll make adjustments on the fly when and if necessary.

I can say with relative conviction that you will never see LiPos on anything faster than a 21.5t brushless in this class.

Stormer Hobbies... 5 in stock

Or, order it directly from Novak.

They shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Am I right in assuming that there are no 21.5 motors accepted by ROAR for any class of racing to date? (Not including Crawlers) Or is there a class of racing that uses 21.5 motors? If there is, are you planning on accepting other brands of 21.5 motors as ROAR accepts them?

Also why did you decide to accept the Novak and not another brand?

Paved Oval Nat's may have affected the STOCK on these (That's the biggest class I hear)

The 21.5's were built for us for OVAL racing - and we've been trying to push them to other markets. The NOVAK ONLY is something else we did for OVAL racing the past few years to keep the "Motor of the Week" away (Don't want those old battles of BRUSHED crap)

I don't believe ROAR currently has anything ON THE BOOKS for a sanctioned 21.5 class, but it IS an option class for this weeks ROAR Paved Oval Nat's.
