Default I NEED SERIOUS HELP WITH MY EVO3

ok the thing is when ever i set my evo3 on the ground and pull the throttle it makes a sound similar to striping gears. As i asked people at the trank each person told my to check my diffs. I already did, i actually took my one way out and put two new diff in the front, i checked the gears and they should not be at that they will make the sound. I rebuilt my rear diff and no problems, and I already have space between my pinion and spur gear. I NEED HELP, i spent many many hours and still could not find out why!!!

sounds like incorrect shimming on between the diff gear and the rear prop gear.

Take it all apart, and look again, something is stripping. Look for small peices of palstis in the diff cases.

I assume your diff is tightened correctly?

thats becasue when its in the air!!

There is no resistance, when its on the ground, a lot of torwue is applied to the gears.

Diagnosing problems like this over the interent is pointless. It could be anything. If you can't figure it out yourself, have someone more experienced at the track screw around with it.

Your spur might be stripped.

does ur diff move around in ur diff case, if you didnt put any shims in it will seem fine but as soon as u put it on the ground and apply power the diff will move over and the teeth will skip

if your talking about the tamiya evo3 i have the surikarn version. I also had a problem with noises. ik have noticedthe tamiya 0.4module pinion gears are too soft and get damaged easilyand that can cause a bit of noise.
the other thing i found to make noise is bent drive shafts. mine bent after a run in with the boards due to some clown turning his radio on in the pits. check them cause they will make a racket even if only slightly bent but it will be less noticeable off the ground.
