Well while tearing down my car to replace the lower pod plate I broke...I discovered I had also cracked the front of the chassis around the front left body post I've sent CRC an e-mail and hope to get it replaced soon. But I really wanted to run the car still. I remembered the old DA chassis used to come with a brace piece that went across where the body mounts attach. Early pan cars were very prone to this area cracking so the brace was to reinforce that area. I decided to make one myself out of some scrap carbon fiber. I think it came out pretty good and should solve the problem for awhile. It does make pulling out the front ride height shim a bit of a pain but I'll deal with it.

Yes 4260 is the part number for the front ride height shims.

Hey guys im a sedan guy getting into 12 scale ....bought an xti a while back and finally a 12 scale night opened up ....my question is ...would a regular xti set up work on a 30 x 20 track ...it very small track but thats all we got ......or should some specific things be changed for such a small tight track?

Loving this car already. It was so easy to assemble. I opened the box, lots of parts. Closed the box...
...shook it around a bit...
...opened the box again...
...done.
This is my first 1/12 since my Trinity MCR...and 4-cell NiCds...and brushed motors.
1s LiPo, brushless and links are all new to me. Any driving or setup tips for migrating from a t-bar car to this bad boy?

I saw today at the track a shim kit used for ride height that you place under the front Strut. Is the Part number 4260 Link? I have the washer shims (spacers) but they are a pain in the butt to change the ride height...
Can anyone confirm these are the correct ones?

For what it's worth, you can get 42 fronts on the car with 2 yellows under the arms and get 3.25 ride height, you can run to the wheels with none. This is with no shims between the chassis and horseshoe. If you need to run bigger fronts, you will need the fork shims.
Is that clear as mud?

Well, seems that I just ordered two of these cars. Hope it is as good as everyone says it is. It will replace my X12, which is a very easy car to drive, but, it is getting very loose(as in, the parts on the car) with only 4-5 race days on it. Not impressed. Thus the change of brands. I had recently got a used X 10LE, and was impressed with it, for a used car, it was all still tight and looked to be of better design. So, it made sense to me to get the same brand to consolidate parts spares.
I have read through this thread, and a lot of good stuff here, is there some set up sheets and base setting suggestions for 17.5 boosted please.

The slots/holes in those are made to just fit around 8-32nd screws so they are too wide for the lower 4-40 screws and too narrow for going around the plastic lip on the bottom of the suspension arm. You might be able to widen the holes to use under the suspension arm but I'm not sure how viable it is to do that.
