I'm looking to try out a new class and want the added protection

What class? What esc? What size track?
Maybe we can give you gearing or FDR to start with. As you gear up/down you would then you use a temp gun to monitor the motor and check lap times for the sweet spot.
Happy Racing!

No I tried with GM and HW v3 both say the motor doesn't have a temp sensor in it.

I personally never use lipo cut off........never need it.
Really? U mean even u turn off the voltage cutoff, the esc will stop run and the battery will still at a safe 3.0Volt after running around 6min or so. So I dont have to time each of my run then?

No...it is simply there are no lipo cutoff protection for 1S. You need to charge the lipo good, and if you see the car getting slow, you must stop, the ESC will NOT protect the lipo and it will keep running until the lipo is drained, then that will demage the lipo...

If that is the case, you need to try it. I believe it is still on the board but I was also told it was disabled.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Coz I'm running 3.5T motor that runs for 5min++ My batt will be left at around 20%. Some even at 9%! Batt temp is 55 to 70deg C. I think I'm already on the edge.

Actually, I run 2s Lipo. Is it ok if my esc GT2.0Pro temp at 75 ~ 85deg C running at the above setting? My motor around 90 ~ 100deg C. My FDR 9.4 I also notice my esc is blinking red after my 5min run. The track size 40m x 30m. Mix technical & long sweeper.

Thanks for sharing. So what is your SP setup then? What is your motor, esc, batt Temp? Do you turn off the voltage cut? I use motor fan, still my temp around 90 - 100deg C, No matter what FDR I use 7.8 to 10.7.
