Hot Bodies D413 1/10 4WD Buggy

First drive e with the buggy tonight, what a handful it was. Very edgy.
Small track with tight sharp turns. Carpet + slicks with additive.
Previous owners setup.
Black arb f+r
F 4x1.3 700 gold
R 4x1.4 350 yellow
8-50-8
6.5 motor with 23 pinion too much so I'll look at a lower T motor as well.
On power the arse wants to overtake the front and the front hooks on the way out not helping this.
I haven't gotten to terms with all the toe and kick up etc so I'll get back once it's written down.
Any suggestions from what's given?
Thanks

I have never raced carpet. But those hole pistons might be a bit soft for carpet. You also might need to go up in springs. HB red in the front for sure. Petite RC has some astro setups, not sure if that gets you closer. I goilg go much higher in center diff oil. 100k min, but probably closer to 300k for carpet
I got my kit today and I will also be racing on carpet. Should I pick up some springs as well? And diff oils are good to have on hand?
Any other suggestions or tips is appreciated.

Look what Mike Cooking in the EXOTEK kitchen!
couple stuff coming out shortly.
center 2 piece spur gear.
this way you dont have to take apart a diff if u strip the gear. just unscrew the spur and switch to the fresh one.
its also a harder plastic.
the other one is the center top deck
and this is a new alu wing mount, you can use the Exotek wing washer with a 3mm. countersunk screw.
keep it in your mind these are for testing right now and when its going to be available we gonna see the usual topnoch Exotek finish!

First practice night with this buggy. I am using Ty's Reedy setup with the exception of kit springs, plastic arm inserts. Running on a medium bite hard packed dirt track with SS gold web front, and clay dirt web rear. Car felt really good, except for low speed 180' turns. I'm new to 4wd cars. With my 2wd cars, I could blip the brake and get the car to rotate. With this, it would just slow down, and could not get the car turned quickly. I added a gold front sway bar as per suggestion from another racer. Car felt a bit better in high speed corners, but the same on the low speed corners.
What should I try, sway bars, springs, diffs?
Like I said, I'm new to 4wd, so tuning with sway bars and diffs is new to me. Any help with those would be appreciated.

yeah, brake drifting a 4wd is harder for sure. try accelerating through the turn. Unlike 2wd. these cars will turn quickly with the wheels cranks and throttle applied. Kinda hard to explain. but you drive the 4wd through a corner, where as in 2wd you coast or brake slide the car. You can try softer front springs also, to increase the rate at which weight transfers and add a little droop the the rear. lots of things to do. If you are need to 4wd, I would just drive it a few weeks and get a feel for what a wheeler can and cant do.
Is there a good article out there for tuning with sway bars and diffs?
