Default Solution to 2nd gear stripping problem.

Weird. Change the brake pulley for a brand new, the one you have is faulty and the pins shouldn't be properly installed.

Regarding the 2nd gear stripping problem, get at least the 1st gear bell (I use the 3Racing, sourced from my MTX3 - never used the stock one and never stripped a 2nd gear).

The root of the problem seems to be a improperly oiled one-way bearing that locks itself when the 2nd gear is engaged locking the gearbox and stripping the 2nd gear.

When in doubt, change the two bells (1st and 2nd gear are quite cheap and you can get some lightened ones). The ones made by Eagle Racing (branded as 3Racing too) are really fine and hold a lot of use if the bearings is properly lubed - DON'T run it dry or the one-way bearing go south and lube them before using is the key for a long living one-way bearing and lack of problems on the gearbox.

Use one-way oil. What I'm using is one of the best I found: Serpent one-way oil. Check too for signs of wear on the main shaft. If you see shiny bands on the shaft this shaft is subjected to wear and needs to be revised or exchanged.

What kinda ride heights are you guys running? Also whats your camber and toe settings. Or heck feel free to post your entire setups. Im sure weve done this before but just feel like running over it again and comparing my car to yours currently.

Im also running the new rear camber link an new front uprights , not the 2 degrees from the mtx-4r. Also has anyone tried the 2 degree uprights vs the newer ones that came out a few weeks before?

Has anyone adapted a center one-way for the MTX-4. Or, does anyone know of a manufacturer that provides one.
