Just received the T3!!

Looking forward to build it the weekend

There 2 left at the store due to cancellation waiting for their new proud owner

(Let me add that shipping is free as kit costs more than 250euro the limit for free shipping)

Then I couldn't wait anymore and a Xray T3 US Foam Speck has been ordered. I was getting bored with high maintenance and broken parts on my AE TC5.

If the T3 is anywhere near the quality of my Xray 808 buggy I know I'll be happy (not a broken part through the whole season!).

Hopefully I'll have it within a week or so.

The US foam version was not in stock here in Norway, only the rubber edition, so I got it from rcmarket.com.hk

Has anyone try to achieve lowest possible FDR with 104t 64p spur?
How low the FDR you guys can go?

I'm asking coz I'll run 10.5, 11.5 stock class. Thank you all.

I don't have my T3 yet but on the T2'009 it is hard to get higher than a 6.5 FDR with a 104t spur. I'd suggest picking up a few 116t offset spurs as they will easily allow for 8+ FDR which are needed when trying to gear faster motors with the new turbo boosting, free wheeling speedos.

116 is the largest you can fit but will be risky for outdoor.

I use 114 and it's ok without any issues

I thought the T3 used 38t pulleys which lowers the internal ratio.

Yes it has 38 pulleys and ratio is now 1.9 (38/20) instead of the 1/7 (34/20)

Questions: Do the US & EU cars have same pulleys/final drive ratio?
What would be a good starting pinion to use w/ a 104/64 spur for the T3 on a med size carpet track w/SPX & 17.5 motor.

Thanks!

The T3's have landed in TX but haven't cleared customs yet. Nexus Racing is anticipating their first batch by the end of the week.
