These are the parts you need to make the "brushless" pod.
8511 -10R5 lower plate
8512 -10R5 upper plate
4608 -12R5 diff hub narrow
4609 -12R5 thrust cone
The motor plate is repositioned on the graphite pieces to change the weight balance of the pod. The hub and cone are needed to keep the rear width legal.

I don't know anything about the Slapmaster part so I can't say. The hub is shorter so more axle protrudes from the bearing. If you have some way of taking up the extra space I guess it won't be a problem. The hub is approx. 2.5mm narrower than the original.

Okay, and you know this from your own experience I guess???
In that case I think I will go for this option if it balances the rear pod better with the use of brushless motors...
I have ran the R5 now for several times on our brand new indoor carpet track and all I can say is that it is a great car to drive!!! Very stable right out of the box. We are now testing with different set-ups what works best but we are very pleases with the car in general...

Sean,
Are you talking about these holes?
Thx!

Actually it would be the middle ones. I forgot there are 3 sets of holes in that servo saver. You might be able to run the balls in the lower holes if you put the ball studs out the front of the saver. I run my servo all the way forward and have my ball studs out the back side.

Anyone know when we might see the 12R5 in stores? I've been looking around, and no one seems to have them available. I would really like to get one to start the indoor carpet season. Also, I want to run brushless, so I will need the four conversion parts that were referred to earlier in this thread. Are they going to be readily available soon?? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I suggest you ask Brian that question direct, He is a friend of mine but I don't know the answer directly. He posts alot in the 12th scale thread. His username is Slapmaster6000.
I do know he is making some parts for his car similar to what your talking about.

Maybe another rear pod. Notice the different bulkhead.
