Wow....11+ grams!!! That's way too heavy compared to my tc4's 4gram full aluminum dcj's and 2.5gram rear plastic/aluminum shaft cvd's...I guess tamiya wanted durability only here...

Full tworks and tamiya hopups catalog, mtc2 hubs, amx links, lower arms spaced out to make the car 186mm wide, all Ti and alu screws. Was decent on carpet but still heavy and hard to get decent motor cooling.

After today’s TCS, my car was a tail happy mess until the main when it suddenly came in after putting a new, unscuffed set of tires on it. I went from several laps down from the leader to chasing him and battling for the win (except for some dots that were out to get me, I may have won).
I may be sold on the Gazoo body making the difference as out setups were pretty spot on to each other. I placed one on order just before the A Main 😂
I did find that putting the toe link on the rear on top of the rear knuckle gave it some active toe that seemed to help settle the rear a little bit more.
I know this car is proving to be a challenge to develop but when it’s in, it’s really fun.

@Khoff77 By how much did space out the lower arms and did you have to use longer driveshafts?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Has anyone managed to get this car to handle properly with the Formula E shell on it?
Mine seems to have a massive lack of rear grip/downforce.

I used the setup sheet from post #741 in this thread as my baseline.
This weekend I tossed a TC shell on the car and ran with GT1 and it was pretty good considering it never got over 63F and the sun was behind clouds all day. I was struggling with enormous amounts of push all day, so the FE body is without question a huge detriment to the handling of the car. I haven't run with my Gazoo body yet, but I suspect it'll be the best thing to do first if you're trying to keep the car GTE class legal.

At TCS a few weeks back my car was working really well with the FE body, though a Gazoo still beat me (though there's some question of how much of that had to do with me making mistakes when he kept his race clean).

At least you have confirmed my thoughts about the shell. I was running it in a class with full option TT02's with GT shells (NSX, Ford GT etc) and was getting thrashed. Switched to a TT02 as well, and got a win and a 2nd, so pretty sure it wasn't that it wasn't a driver issue

Yes the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo body fits just fine.
