gear
I have tried it fitted but when I run the kit it doesn't sound normal at all!
I would only break my spur gear.
I had the mcm, robinson, and kawada. It doesn't fit period.
I have tried every screw connections to the motor mount FYI

GEARS
THE EXACT PART NUMBERS THAT YOU POSTED
AGAIN JUST WASTED MONEY FOR IT
I EVEN TRIED DIFFERENT SCREW SET UPS AND DIFF MOTORS
SO THE END RESULT IS IT "MAY" FIT BUT WHEN YOU RUN THE CAR DON'T BLAME ME FOR THE NOISE IT WOULD PRODUCE AS YOU RUN YOU WILL JUST WASTE YOUR SPUR GEAR...
GUYS DON'T GET ME WRONG BUT I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE WASTING MONEY OVER IT AT LEAST SOMEONE TOOK ONE FOR THE BOYS UNFORTUNATELY ITS ME.....

how about bringing your kit to the track and have others have a look. It's really hard diagnosing something that we can't see. Bring it to JP on saturday and show it to i.e. neil4wd

Trust me there is nothing to diagnose I have had kits and all I know I have done everything for me to solve this one but there is no way that you can use such pinion without some modifications over the chassis, motor mount, and the gear box which is illegal like what racebucks have said. I just don't want some other racers to resort to the money wasting...

Hi everyone, recently i just got my TT01 car. I would like to hop up my stock driveshaft to universal joint , so what should i do? Will the car goes more smoothier during cornering on a tamiya mabuchi motor?

oME,
I am trying to work out if you got a PNB-6xx or if you went to a local store and asked and got sold a PNB-5xx.
There is a difference, 1 is imperial 48p the other 0.6mod (incorrectly called 48p metric)
Getting frustrated won't help you, or help others to help you.
Being as precise as you can will.
What was the part number of your kawada pinion?
Kevin

OME : this is the reason why I advise you to visit the track. you may have bought the the more common 48pitch gears. TT01 gears have bigger teeth. I think even the HPI "big teeth" are different from tamiya's and the "common" 48pitch gears

In other old forums people talked about the HPI spur gear adaptor. Has anyone tried it? Also, the Tamiya gear chart refers to the F201 52T spur gear, which in combination with a 28T pinion gives a FDR of 4.83. Has anyone tried that?

I use universal joints front and rear on my racing TT-01. It gives a smoother ride - but not much. You can only tell the difference if you are racing it. I would not use them if you use your TT-01 for bashing. I have a rally TT-01 as well and I do not use the universals there, because the dirt will destroy them.

I think that universals are pretty essential on the front, as said if your racing.
Up until recently I have had metal dogbones at rear and universals at front.
Have recently added them to the rear, they are not cheap.
Incidently, if you have a TL-01, the metal axles will fit the TT. You have to swap the internal Diff gears from the TL-01 with the TT also.
