do you stay with the 64 pitch ?
There are too many variables to answer your question, (big/small track, Brand of Stock/19turn, wind of Mod motor). Use the Losi instruction manual as a starting point for pinion selection.

You can stay with the 64p, but there are 48p adapters available now, personally I like the Losi 64p… surprisingly durable.

Anyway "Pook's" guaranteed me that this will work. He's staking his new Dremel Business on it.

I'm having a hard time getting my 3300's to sit flat in the cell holder, seems like they are actually a hair too large for it. I'm wondering if when you use the big cell tray they will sit more flat with the bottom of the chassis? I need the big cell tray anyway for the 3700-3800 batts, but I thought this one was made for the 3300's.

if it's a new kit, the battery foam needs to take the shape of the cells or the rear slot just needs to be filed a little more.

Randy just get the alm tray it works for both 3300 and 3700 batts. I had the same issue with the stock tray and 3300's, a little dremel work made it better but the new tray is good for everything. BTW what are you doing with 3300's still.

All of my 3300's fit with the original tray just fine...make sure that you don't have extra heat shrink on your cells or spaced a bit with shoogoo or something...

are you using the foam pad(s) on the underside of the rear deck?.. Those need a 'break-in' period before the cells/tray to be flush with the bottom of the chassis.

I havent even mounted anything on the chassis yet, just put my battery pack in the cell tray and they dont align. My aluminum tray should be here sat though so no worries.

Leave a pack in place for awhile so that the foam can adapt in shape to the cells in the pack.

I still prefer to use the original plastic tray for my 3300/3600 packs and the aluminum tray for the 3700/3800 packs. When I place a 3300/3600 pack into the new aluminum tray the first cell doesn't appear to be well supported. My 3300/3600 packs will eventually be phased out anyway.

It is important to have filed enough from the last cell slot in the chassis to make everything perfect. The last cell should be flush with the bottom of the chassis.

Filing (dremeling) the f/r slots for the drivetrain pulleys is the other must if you want to run the diffs in the low position.
