When the Pro 4's weren't available I was able to Gear up to a 18T pinion with a LRP 5.5 and SAIL past the competition with no heat sink/Fan combo, All the while at 150 degrees on a large 1/8 track.

You Could Cut it Down and make it fit, But I personally dont see the need. The Pro 4's are already pretty insane in the power/ Top end dept so I dont see a Need to Gear up any further than the Stock 15/40. Temps are again around 150-160 pending the traction on said day.
I wasn't able to size it up, but it looks like it might be to big. I ordered it when I was having temp problems. I have since figured out the temp issue and resolved it. It was only $10 so it is not a big loss.

The weight thing is not a big isuue with me. I try to focus on having a clean race and The weight thing is the last thing I'm worried about. If I was good enough to never mess up and was trying to shave 10ths of seconds or more of my time then weight would be an issue. Your right though it isn't light.

Not too long, just have a good work space so you dont lose any screws! Or do it section at a time!

I just got done doing mine and it worked out great. tricks I found from searching this thread. Two of the center diff screws will be too long so change out the screws from the front diff and both will work great. also you have to trim the screw that holds the mud guard under the motor. I cant wait to run-nit but I broke the screw that connects the servo saver .

I didn't have any issues with the center diff screws being too long, which two screws are long? The ones that go into the plastic or metal?

My sensor wire pulls out with little force so how do you make sure it does come loose?
