I'm in need of a good asphalt setup for a 14 bd7. I've only been running carpet and have been using the base carpet setup. I'm still working on running consistent laps without hitting stuff so I'm not to the point where I can make setup changes on my own.

Is the base asphalt setup the way to go? I already ordered the suspension blocks listed in that setup. 4.2ff, 3.5fr, 1.3rf and 5.7rr. I also have the black hpi silvers.

I'll be running 17.5 blinky with a trinity killshot and the track is a temp parking lot track medium in size. I have a couple sets of different tires including Solaris sc35 and hot race 32 spec tires.

I bought the RS version of the BD7. I found there to be a 2mm gap at the front left suspension mount. It looks like the FF mount is slightly bent, causing a gap and therefore play on the suspension arm. Has anyone else come across this problem ?

Hi all, can someone tell me whats the difference between BD-500GS and B7-500GS? I know that one is for BD5 through BD7'14 but what is the actual difference? And does the B7-500GS still leak?

B7-500GS has large O-ring around the case. But i can still leak a little bit around shafts

If anyone wants a guaranteed no leak super smooth 15 diff. Then install Kyosho p5 O rings and remove the small outside black O rings.

What about a '14 diff? Will replacing the outdrive o-rings with P5's be enough to stop the leak? Or will you also need a large o-ring around the whole case?

Use Dow 55 on your orings and I can pretty much assure you a leak free diff.

15 gear diff. more friction , because used total 5pcs o-ring,
14 gear diff. had leak , so need change other brand 5mm o-ring,

Does the BD7 have the short arms? YOKBD-008RS and YOKBD-008FS? also anyone running gear diff front and rear on pavement? should I order 1 just in case?
Also what belts just get the Low friction Yokomo?

and is everyone just running the HPI silvers on the car? bout to place a order

Also what tires should I go with? Sorex? solaris? sweep? what last long and hold there speed the best?

Standard arms BD-008FG and BD-008RG1

Gear diff is preference, I personally always run a spool and adjust my setup to it, on power steering is always better with a spool.

HPI silver seems to be the defacto for asphalt.

No standard tires for your track? No way anyone can recommend tires without knowing surface and having something to compare to. Outdoors here I've run team powers 36r and sweep 40.
