Dtr, you asked about VX4R sizes the other day... The can length is 62mm and the diameter is 36mm. Those are for the 540L's the 540's are shorter and will fall below the 60mm you asked about.

ahhh....I never thought that it was getting loose in the plastic housing. I always just thought the outdrive itself was causing the inner portion of the bushing to wear. Thanks!

Thanks Salad, so my wishlist is reduced to the vx4's. Now the waiting part continues, hope you are getting good reports from testers And also hope to have some SC racing here before april next year

Just got the truck!! In fact my first Losi ever.
Motor/servo should be here this week and I already painted the body.
In the meantime, what else besides diff I should go over?
I'm going 5/7/3 (f/c/r) for a big outdoor 1/8th track a little loose with big jumps. Any other thing I should work/replace? And what about holes on the body, more besides the ones on the windshield?
Thanks

Hudy Tools are my preference. They have some really fine spring steel. Plus, be very careful with the stock screws on the scte. My first gen truck had screws that would strip if you looked at them <G>, I just bought a new scte the other day (Thanks Mike @ Superior ) , I find the screws are still very ez to strip. I looked at several of the screw heads closley and it looks to me as if the hex head may be toleranced too closley. I tried tapping on the handle of my hex wrench and this allowed it to go in a bit deeper. This gave the tool more surface contact .

hmm thats interesting i have a 2nd shipment truck and i have just done the complete rebuild onto a new chassis and all gear boxes and fitment and i did not find 1 screw any problem at all ?

i use Losi tools and yes i take my time and make sure the tool is bedded all the way in the screw before tring to undo them

i did hear a lot about people haveing trouble with screws though

good tools should = no problems other wise its user error IMO

I'm still using 95% of the original screws on my truck and I should note I started building it last November and it was running a month before the production truck was released. I use a mix of AE and Dynamite tools. I remove my battery tray a lot to run wires, I just replaced my originals last week.

I have mine mounted up and I was extremely impressed with the high qaulity of the CF and the precise cuts of the part, perfect fit also. Thanks
