MIP servo tape is awesome. Make sure both surfaces are clean and the chassis has a nice flat spot to get a good bond.

The ESC was put here through a lot of testing this was found to be the best location for weight. Yes the motor and sensor wires are long but it is worth it for the handling benefits.

Yea, I figured it was for the weight, I don't mind it at all though, so what's the deal w/ the receiver, what's the best way to do this

Just run 12 ga. wire and it will be fine.

I run 3M tape on my E-Buggy and it has been rock solid. I even took it to a Monster Jam event and was launching it 30+ feet in the air and it never let loose. I do run 2 layers to cushion it slightly. I lightly sand the bottom of the case and the chassis which will give the tape a super strong bond. Also, contacted TLR support for the replacement lower shock caps. I was wondering why mine were so hard to install. Apparently they have an issue and are issuing replacements.

Well kinda glad im not on the first batch then

What surfaces do yall run on, i find that the 2sided tape gets covered in loose dust and dirt and then eventually loses its bond =(

Not really that bad. I am going to bolt up my shocks from my original SCTE and go take it out for a run. Support was great. They are shipping them out to me asap.

I had my ESC mounted on a gel pack in my old truck. I put the old bolink double sided tape down then the gel pack then then more tape and finally the ESC. I was ok to start with but when loose dirt got to settle at the bottom it would start to come loose. This time I am going to try to use a little shoe goo then the gel pack then more shoe goo then the ESC. I hope it works. For the RX I will just use some bolink double sided tape.

So what about servos and an external BEC do you guys use. I'm still not sure. I want to place my order today.

Anyone.....

I am running a Hitec HS7940TH servo in mine. It is the same servo that I run in my ebuggy. I don't run a capacitor on it and haven't had any issues with this setup in the past.

I understand there's not a receiver box, is there any that'll fit where you mount it behind the servo???

I am actually thinking about making a small bracket to mount it off the side of the servo. Small piece of lexan should do the trick.

The clear redish servo tape that is rubbery works well and what is nice is that it peals off easy. I dont like sticky residue =P
here's a roll of 3.5 feet for only $5 shipped on eBay.....similar product used on GoPro adhesive mounts...

If you can post a pic of the receiver when you get it mounted

I'm guessing this won't work in the 2.0?
