Default Georgia RC Activity?
Interesting how there are more threads in the Georgia Racing Forum yet there’s virtually nothing current.....what happened here? I’m just getting back into racing and it looks like I’m going to be doing a lot of driving to the Carolinas, TN, and AL to find tracks, especially indoor 😔

DC hobbies just closed this month. There is the Dungeon Gainsville GA (indoor) and Loganville and Mcdonough for outdoor offoad

The Dungeon in no longer in Gainsville, they moved up to Clarkesville, Georgia and are working on an indoor carpet offroad track.

I just moved to Augusta and went by the track the other weekend. It’s a very nice facility with a large track. Does Anyone know if they do regularl monthly club races or which classes are popular ? I’m 1/8 nitro buggy

bbqhog - agreed the activity is bad. Not sure how to explain it. Summer heat? Bad traffic? Lack of disposable income or time? Combo of all that???

Found that one...
It doesn't make any sense - no track in the metro area. Wish I could get enough people together to support an indoor carpet track. Certainly no shortage of empty real estate...
I did make a list of active tracks within a few hrs drive of ATL:

shady do a search for Augusta rc supercross on Facebook. They do race at least once a month. They also do some state series races.
Derrick Liles is the race director for the track. The facility is owned by the county so it's a non-profit track. All race fees goes back into the track.

Henry county rc track - races 2 nd Saturday each month

loganville rc track -new owner- he has been re building the track and promoting the SOS series this year. Hopefully the track reopens

augusta supcross rc track - 2 1/2 hrs east Of Atlanta - is open

S and B raceway - in piedmont South Carolina . 100 miles up 85 north from mall of Ga. big race this weekend. SOS round 5 finals July 14th

wicked weekend in August . Gainesville Ga big race 4 days of racing over 400 entries
