Chehaw RC Raceway in Albany GA holds races once a month. Nice track in a state park. Every race Ive been to there had about 90-100 entries. 2 hours south of Atlanta.

Yeah this is really sad. barely any road courses in GA. I am in Gainesville, and there is no road track near. UGH! Playstations and XBoxes are killing this sport.

I’m preparing to do a lot of driving to race - mapping out the tracks in the Carolinas, Alabama, and Tennessee

Went racing at Phenix City this past Tuesday and had a great time. Excellent hobby shop, cool astro turf offroad track and a really nice group of folks to race with.

Chehaw in ALbany races 1/8th scale e buggy 40+, intermediate and pro classes. 1/8th nitro buggy pro and 40+ classes, 4WD short course, 2WD short course, E truggy and Nitro truggy, 1/10th 4wd buggy, and a beginner class.

Are there any tracks you can just go anytime by yourself and run? I've been turned away from bmx tracks, and hcrcr is chained up. I'm just looking for something a little more than an afternoon trip to my neighborhood park.

Any (near) ATL park recommendations?
