I got a new chassis for my Type R and I find out that the holes for the pivot in the rear is wider than the original chassis I have is this a mistake or did they make adjustment?
Any one with answer to my question.. now with the adjustment they made on the chassis the rear pivot block is much closer than the original chassis to the motor, I use the 13.5 Trinity with the cut out on the back of the motor and the fit is so tight, I am now looking for the spur adaptor, with the original chassis I had enough space so I didn't need the spur adaptor.

Thats interesting, even with my original chassis (car from the first batch) I need to grind down that pivot block to get more than a 51t pinion and the original orion, the novak fit a 52 I think. I did replace that chassis, I'll check the spacing, I wonder if you might have gotten one that was just out of spec.

You possibly just switched to that motor and never noticed it was a different shape? Some of the bl motors have a "square" corner and you need to shave some off the block, others have a bevel and dont need it.
Renato, np man...now you just need laps

I did notice the difference when I put the two chassis together the pivot blocks near to the motor was up by about 3mm, even shaving the block to almost hitting the threads, the chassis is off.

Hi all
I'm running 10.5 and 13.5 this coming winter and was wondering what is the best spur to use for 13.5? I'm using the standard 90t 48dp for 10.5 and I have purchased a PRS spur gear adaptor so I can run a smaller spur for 13.5 as I need to get to 4.5 FDR just wondered which size/sizes would be optimum.
Thanks
Tim

None worth running 4800 and 3200 and guaranteed fit, I think their new one is the same dimensions as the 4800, but generally the orion cells are down on average voltage vs the checkpoint, core, SMC and trackpower. It's worth the little extra work to make the other packs fit, only the SMC 5000 requires dremeling of the bulkhead because it's tall, the others are a little wide, so you widen the pulleys.

MikeXray,
Thanks for the response. I also heard the Checkpoint 5400 fits as well. This purchase will be my intro into the Lipo world so I am ok starting off at the 3200 and getting 2 or 3 lipos to include a 4800 and the 5400. The price pushes me away a little but it is the way our hobby is.

Good for you, I call Horizon and they said to send it in and they will replace it, it's just a pain to package it up and then sending it, now a $70.00 chassis is now $80.00 + and I have to wait for another 2 weeks to get my chassis.
