Mugen MTC1 Wiki:

MTC1 Manual on the Mugen Web Site.

Correction for the manual

The max/min tooth count of the spur and pinion combined.

64p = 127 to 164 total teeth

48p = 95 to 120 total teeth

People who have spare spur gears left over from other cars which they wish to use but can only utilize 2 of the 4 mounting holes, here's neat trick from MKAH to drill 2 more holes precisely in the spur gear:

1.Dismantle the Spur Holder and mount XRAY Spur with two screws.

2.If you have take a 3mm Top Setting Screw

3.Get the Top Screw in the first free thread to the Spur Holder from the other side until it touches the Spur a litle bit.
Make the same with the second free Thread.

4.Dismantle Top set Srew an the two screws witch holds the Spur on the Holder.
Now you see two marks absolutely central.

5. Take an 3mm Driller an Drill the holes at the marked places

6.Mount the Spur with the two old and two new holes on the Spur.

Spur Gears known to fit the gear holder with the correct hole pattern

1. Axon
2. Panaracer

Upper front arm hinge pin set screw tip (or any of the kit set screws):

When installing the set screw run the set screw in until you can see it come into the hinge pin gap. Back the screw out and make sure there is no flashing in the way and then the screw. Now slide the pin in and you should hit the pin and come to a dead stop. It will be a solid feel and not sloppy like it will not tighten which is caused by any loose plastic.

Thanks
Depends on front layout.
With the old front upper arms, I think alloy frame (the Mugen one, not aftermarket products) is kind of mandatory on high grip surfaces.
With the performance kit, maybe you can try the carbon chassis.

I purchased mine directly from Xenon. Part #'s 1- Bel-0180, 1- Bel-0507. 1 rear, and 1 front.

Can someone please confirm the correct thickness for shock 4 hole part? While building I discovered that 3 are 2 mm thick and 1 is 1.5mm thicknesss. 1.5 moves freely and 2mm is very tight.

The thicker 3 are correct - the E-Clip is supposed to be recessed into the piston head.

Need advice. Ordering this kit next week and I never ran a on road car. HT is putting together a black carpet track and asking what I’m going to need as far as setup, tools and tires. Know I’m gonna need a ride height gauge but is that it as far as tools? I plan on running Hobbywing esc but a stock motor is open to what ever. 17.5 is stock, right? These guys run parking lot and now they’re coming indoor and I’m not sure what they now about carpet and I def know they never seen a Mugen TC before. What’s a good tire for black carpet? Thinking I’ll need spare arms and maybe body posts. Not looking for tons of hopups because I’m not sure how far I want to take this until I figure it out first. Maybe get a aluminum chassis later cuz I would think that would be better for high grip. I’ll go with a bittydesign body cuz I love their 1/8 buggy bodies.
