Cuda is right, the new surface at the Tamiya track is really nice. There where a quite a few F104's last Saturday burnin a groove into the track. Plus it's way cheaper to run there practice $0.00, race $0.00. How can you beat FREE 99

Here in Chicago F1 is back at the track. Recently lots of people are jumping on the bandwagon again at our various on road tracks around town.

Out there on the West Coast has anyone seen, in person, the new HPI car running yet? If so any personal observations you'd like to talk about?

Free, but the ride out there is hella far for most of the guys that race right now...

but the track at WCRCR is the same quality AND it's indoors.... remember... this is August in Southern California... it's HOT

Hey you F N F1 racers, check out this new thread from 240Z!

Gonna get a direct connection to the F1 scene in So Cal by coordinating track times so we can overwhelm chosen tracks on given days!

He calls it an F1 Swarm!
I like it, join in, show up and let's race.
The tracks will love us and you know more will join in!

Heck yeh, if you like it you can have it!

The plate on my 'cuda reads the same. 'F 'N 'CUDA

I was lucky and won the F1 class at the Grand Opening of the West Coast RC Raceway and Hobby Garage so I asked him if he would call the class F N F1.

Default New Surface at Aliso-Tamiya

I love Tamiya-Aliso, basically I just had my first race ever there and people like Alex L. Kevin and Tom are only to curtious and super frindley with us new commers.

However I fall in Akura's category (by the way nice panoramic photo), for me it's half the ride to La Mirada. Vger your rigth, free is hard to beat, even more than the money is the good friends at Aliso. Hope to make new ones like CUDA at WCRC

Having said that I hope to see you guys this Saturday at Tamiya!!! Can not refuse the invite from the guys over there to test the new surface.

Here's a photo of TAMIYA newly asphalted track (Sent today by Alex L.)

Well,
I just won a 15th anniversary F103R... It should be at home next week. Im in Burbank, CA until 13th. Any hobby shops have parts here near burbank? Also, for those in the Seattle area, where can i get parts in stock and racing? Im from the Seattle area.

Parts have been hard for me to get from day 1.
I guess we missed the F1 days of the past.
Most hobby stores have jack squat for these.

You may find bits and pieces here and there but your best bet is scope out the internet.
Ebay has lots of stuff but most comes from overseas stores, Hong Kong and Japan cuz those guys have always been into it and that's where it's made.
Lots of aftermarket (non Tamiya) stuff is out there for this car too.

Just go right to the stores online directly.

D Drive
RC Mart
RC Market
are some of the most complete that I've seen.
I've ordered from a couple with no problems at all, EXCEPT THE WAITING!

From what I understand, the orders are only processed on Sundays then it's 10 days (minimum) to 3 weeks (one of my orders took that long) after that.

If someone has some better connections PLEASE let us know.

A couple US stores are

Speedtech (but I had to pay 8 friggin dollars to get a pair of tires shipped! I'm in the same state for cripes sake!)EDIT LAST STATEMENT.
Jeff from Speedtech personally changed my shipping charges to $2 and I never even asked this of them!
I chose the wrong shipping and charged myself the $8 and he corrected it.
I appreciate that very much Jeff and you will continue to get my business, hope we meet in the near future!

Fusion Hobbies gets stuff too and Tomie is a really cool dude, he brings stuff to the track (BCR)when he has it!

Danny at WCRC has a Tamiya order coming in any day and he was told by Fred at Tamiya (I think) that it would be most of what will be needed to support F1 racing there.
I really hope he gets the good stuff!
