Esc capacitor newbie needs help please
hey there im pretty new to electric on road but im having heaps of fun! ive got a tt01 with a 12t reedy worlds in it hooked up to a nosram magnum reverse esc http://www.nosram.com/products.asp?id=51 i was wondering weather or not i should or am even able to put a capacitor onto my esc, i heard that it makes it run with less heat and gives better acceleration but im not sure weather or not u can do it because it s a micro chip esc and the battery leads are inside the esc which i cant see any screws to open it up and it is a reverse esc and i want to keep it with reverse
thanks for any help

If the ESC would benefit from a power cap, the manufacturer would supply one or suggest one as an option.
If Nosram don't supply one there is probably no need for it.

if i put 1 on anyway do you think it will make a difference?

If you use Dean's plugs that would be a decent spot to solder a capacitor.

yea i use deans. i was thinking of splicing them sumwere along the lead from the esc battery cable but do you think i could do it straight onto the deans ?

After soldering you can use electrical tape or 3/4" ~ 1" heat shrink tube to secure the capacitor to the wires.
I don't have any pictures, but I have seen it done.

6.6V Cap is for 4-Cell NiMH
10V Cap is for 4cell, 6Cell or 2S Lipo
16V 3S Lipo and lower voltage
25V 5S Lipo and lower voltage
Any capacitor in the 1500uf to 10,000uf range will work.
