- between consecutive blocks is .5 degrees (i.e. XD-XC)
- for split type blocks, flipping them gives you the opposite range (i.e. an "XA" block flipped will be an "A"
- so if you use an A and D block you get 1.5degrees (XA-D is 2.5deg)

What do you mean by opposite range?

so far I understand almost everything. So what do i get is I use

XA/C = 2.0? What if I use A/C ? what is the opposite range?

disregard the "opposite range" thing... flipping the block just means you either add or remove the "X" prefix from the block

A - XA
B - XB
C - XC
D - XD

Yes, XA-C is 2 degrees...
if you flip the "XA" block to make it an "A" block, you then get 1deg (A-C)

the grid attached might make things clearer...

This has helped me so much! thanks! It stinks that tamiya doesnt have this info somewhere.

I thought that xa was 1/2* more than A, i didnt think it was 1/2 per side....

the blocks start at 180mm wide (xd) and is 190mm at the widest point (d) 1mm increasment between the blocks

Its not available by itself as of now, they didnt provide any part number in the manual for the front solid.

do you get that much more with the pro kit?
would the 58488 kit be a good starter kit?
i know that i need bat ,radio ,esc, motor ect

I bought the TA06 kit its honestly a lot more for your money. yes you dont get a body but you get a lot of aluminum upgrades and shocks and everything. for i think like 30 dollars more from the sumo kit you get all the goodies.

For a starter kit, the 58488 kit looks good. It'll still be fairly fast. The biggest disadvantage is that you are missing the good shocks.

The thing is if you are interested in racing then you will most likely get those shocks eventually which will end up costing you more than the difference between the pro kit and the normal kit.

Edit: I just realized the 58488 kit is also missing the universal drive shafts which are just as important as the shocks. These two things would be most in need of upgrade more so than those blue aluminum pieces.

--> In fact, I used to change mine on my old TA05 every years cause the teeth becomes very used (the form of the teeth becomes sharp...)...

Well, If Tamiya does not sell the direct drive's 39T pulley only, I will have to spend extra money to buy the TA06 spool (very expensive here in France...)
