We are locking the stock diff just like I think losi suggest. This works really well because in a serious crash, it seems to slip slightly and saves from damaging other parts.

It seems that all teams including Schumacher are using spools 90% of the time on rubber tire

P-Dub.. Had a chance to look at Andrews car today it looks great! It has a lot of improvements over the mission. Both their cars looked good, you'll be pretty happy once you get it on the carpet.

Are you going to the Novak race?

Hi guys,

I just got back to Australia after my big trip to England and touring the great country that is the US.

I raced at the BRCA Nationals(did badly-dont ask!). I saw the new car in depth obviously and tested with Teemu, Chris Ashton and Phil Booth for a day. I also visited the factory in England and met all the guys. Top blokes and be ready for a special car. A lot of effort has gone into this one.

I will post pics online but I do have a couple of videos online from the event of Teemu. The one facing the stand is a qualifier and the other video is a final.

Sorry about quicktime but until i find a way of converting them to divx they will have to stay like this. Dammit!

Hi Chris

I might have to watch those videos, might tell me where i was going wrong that day...lol

We've prooved that those tyres i was running were suspect. Don't know why, but i tried them again when we went testing, and again no grip don't you just hate it when things like that happen. oh well!!

It will be Cartwright, myself and working on McMahon. I heard there might be a triple crown race around the same time and if so, then I want McMahon there

Let me know, we can get one on the way

The triple crown race is in the end of Feb. after snowbirds so there will be two big foam tire races at Trackside this winter.

I thought that you already sent one out....

I will take a good look at yours at the race and see whats happening.

Default Traction Rolling

Hi Guys,

Scott at Stockton has helped me get my Mission set up. (He's the man...) It still occasionally traction rolls (much less often than it did before.) Can anyone tell me what suspension elements factor into a traction roll. If you could also explain technically what causes a traction roll, that'd be great. The XXX Main setup guide is helpful, but actually less speific on a few things than I had hoped.

Current Setup

Front Toe-In = 0
Rear Toe-In = 2.5
Droop: Front 3, Rear 2
Camber: Front 0, Rear 1
Springs: Front Yellow, Rear Red
60 wt silicon all around
Inside Hole #2 for the top shock mounts.
Outside ball carriers on the hubs.
Pit Shims 27/24s with red inserts.
TQ Orange on the inside half of all 4 corners.

Oh, and if anyone has a link to where I can get longer top-arm turnbuckles, that'd be sweeeeeet...

fastfred- Are you practicing tomorrow? If so ask around for STLNLST. Maybe I can help you get rid of your traction rolling problem.

Default longer upper arm links

Fastfred, on my mission I used Lunsford links, I am not quite sure about the length, but I do remember they were the only place other than Schumacher USA that had them. I also, think I used mm in length, I just dont remember. Let me look around for the part #, and I will let ya know.
I also used custom made aluminum upper arms, which were made by Dirt Trix Chassis components.

For the traction rolling issue, first it is imperative to make sure that no links, balls, or pins, are bent in the suspension. Also make sure that the upper control arms have not split at the seam, this was why I used alloy ones. Damaged suspension components can cause HAVOK on chassis tuning.
After checking all of these items, them go back through the chassis setup and retest it. Dont forget to check the tweak of the chassis this is alot of the time forgoton.
Hopefully this has helped. I am sure we can get this car rolling
