I Wish Tracks Would Outlaw These...

Some of you guys need to get on the drivers stand and bend your knees until you are 5 feet tall and drive around a bunch of large guys packed next to you like sardines before you say you don't know why it is necessary. I think it is a necessity for me to race at larger events. I don't have a choice. I either can see the track or not.
My two major points are:
- I NEED to be able to see the track. ( I literally cannot see over 70% of the track at most larger tracks w/o a stand )
-My radio sits in the way of the railing. I would have to hold it over my head at some events to get close enough to the rail to see.
Personally, it seems just another thing for someone to complain about. If someone is being irresponsible and leaving it lay around in the way then something should be said to that person. Sometimes it isn't the owner of the stand putting it in the way either.
Maybe the tracks should enforce guidelines for these stands. Provide a proper place to put them out of the way of other racers.

And the main complaint is that when people that are tall stand on these things it makes blind spots for the people not using them.

What, 5'6" isn't tall??? Haha.
Actually, I started this thread as a complete joke. Didn't think it would net over 2500 views and 90 posts in 2 days. That's hilarious to me. Just figured the thread would die out, not be as popular as THE thread haha. Do I really think tracks should outlaw these? I could care less. RC car racing is a lot like golf-its you against the course, sometimes you have to penalize yourself, and you should act like a gentleman and respect your fellow competitors. If you want/need to use a stool to drive well, go for it, just be cognizant of your surroundings and don't affect someone else cause you need that precious 6". Proud to say I've never lost a race to a stooler.

a stooler......i think, the stools should be for the kids...but some people are vertically challanged....the rule should be:....IF YOU STAND UP TO THE RAILING, AND YOUR REMOTE IS IN YOUR FACE....THEN YOU MAY USE THE STOOL....BUT IF YOU CAN PLACE YOUR REMOTE ON THE RAILING AND STILL SEE OVER YOUR REMOTE, THEN YOU GET NO STOOL!

Maybe some stool softner should be used just before race time for those that don't need them

We have a rule in or GLORCS series up here in Canada..If you feel you need a elevating device ,you can not be taller than 6'2" with the device.that evens things out for the folks that are vertically chalenge and keeps the taller folk from using them.Works well

Anyone over 6' tall at my track get booted out of stock, and bumped up into mod racing. It's in the rule book.
We also outlawed giant Chinese rain hats and blue as a body color this year.

At crc last year they had a ruler like at an amusement park. "you must be below this line to use a a stool" It worked out pretty well. They even DQ'd a guy for using it that was taller than allowed. Cost him a spot in the main.
