Have you got the correct sized diff balls?
Tamiya diff pulleys need 3mm balls, rather than 2.5mm balls.

Thanks,
What do you mean by loose? Can you stick an allen wrench in both sides and turn the gear (or better yet on of thos ediff building jigs). These diffs are awesome, especialy once they are broken in ...i.e. mine are tight as in can't barely move them with the method above, but install on the car you turn one wheel and it "freely" turns ...butter smooth

When you were there I was turning 15.7's ...by the end of the day with some tunning (with my limited knowledge and help from Brad and Juan) I was turning 15.3's ...in the middle ot the heat of the day!!

One step ahead of you, I bribed Juan into showing me the "secret" Tamiya handshake.

Has anyone used the short arms outdoors yet with the same trackwidth as the std arms? If so would you recommend it and what handling differences did you notice?

Cheers, Charles

Yes I have tried the short lightweight reversable arms on the TRF415MSX. It was good. Very comparable to the normal arms. Not much difference. Sightly more traction in my opinion. I used the E block in the rear rear. For the rear front I forget what I used. I had at least 2.5 degrees of toe in.

As for the front I used a D bridge in front rear and a D block in front front. I may try a E block in front front.

As for the sheel hubs, use the old silver ones. They are thicker than the 415MSX hubs. I think they are 6mm. They are a option part. This combined with the stuff I mentioned will make the over all track as wide as the normal reversable suspension.

In the rear you can mount the stabilizer bar on the new stabilizer hole. However, you need to bend the stabilizer bar alot. You can also mount the stabilizer on the shock mount holes. This may create a different feel. I am not sure.

Don't think so, the diff pulleys on the RDX are huge compared to the 415s.

The car was awesome last night, TQ'd and second in 19 Turn (Chocked in the main, should have had it) ...the win went to another new Tamiya owner! ...fastest lap time ended up beeing a 14.9 in qualifiying a 15.0 in the main.

Oh one thing, where can I get some of those sticker chnagaderas for diff covers? I had some made up for my Corally, but I saw JayL had some commercially purchased ones. I had to rebuild my diff yesterday, and looks like I need to again, it's not "butter smooth" anymore, I'm sure I got dirt and grit in it like before.

What kind of diff balls came with the car? Shouldn't get all beat up after 1 race day. So, how'ed the anti-dive help? What else do you want the car to do? Talk to ya later or just post here.
