b-man - these are designed to be used in all forms of racing. They are a huge improvement over the old style motors. More power, more rpm. Plus we have three different tuning rotors to help fine tune for your needs.

After running the motors for some time now I must say I'm very impressed. the 17.5 with the 12.5 HT is really a force to be reckoned with. you REALLY won't be dissapointed.

Nice to hear Ian - first shipment of 17.5's sold through in a little over a month. Next shipment is due next week. Still have good stock on most mods, but again that shipment is coming next week!!

My stock 17.5 runs great at 40 degrees , can't wait to get a high torque rotor to try now. I put one in my 13.5 that I have yet to run.

So, I have emails from ROAR's Technical Delegate and President telling me the motors are legal -- but it still has not been posted on ROAR's official website.

If anyone needs a copy of the emails to verify with their race director or hobby shop to show that the motors have been approved by ROAR please feel free to contact me at - [email protected]

Thanks!!!

just got a viper black edition 10.5 to match the vtx 1 esc. any recommendations for rollout and timing to use?

the motor will be used in 1/12th blinky on a small technical track with a 22m straight. compared to the lrp x20 with the 4 dot insert and 88 rollout, the viper motor seems a bit lacking.

thanks in advance.

jiggen, I apologize I don't have an exact roll out number to tell you to start with, that is something than can differ a bit from track to track. I would start with a gearing you have run before and monitor performance and temperature.
