96x42 NEW CRC HD Carpet / Clik-Trak Boards / NEW Sub-floor
Best lit track in the country. It's bright!
World's only custom LED scoreboard.
Full coverage on LiveRC.
One of the finest facilities in the country, 5280 Raceway is a permanent indoor carpet track located 10 minutes from downtown Denver.
On-road racing needs another quality 3 day event, run by experienced racers who know exactly what it takes to make racing fun. We understand traveling to race is expensive, and feel it's important to deliver not only a quality experience, and enjoyable track layout, but also a large amount of track time to test and tune. Sitting in a building for 12 hours a day to only get 10 minutes on the track has its place, but that's not what we're about. Get the most for your dollar against quality competition at a nearly perfect track.
Entries will be limited, so when signups go live, and we'll give you plenty of notice before they do, be ready. The race will fill up fast, and has been extremely popular the past 8 years.
Classes
17.5 Sedan
13.5 Sedan
Mod Sedan
17.5 1/12
13.5 1/12
Mod 1/12
13.5 WGT
F1
Spec tires and sauce are still TBD, but will be announced long before the race. We're familiar with the current spec rubber tire landscape and will base our decision on what provides the best racing and nothing else.
More details to come as we get closer to the event.

I'm going to get in here for two reasons.
1. I'm in that video!
2. Obviously I was there last year and it was a freaking blast. I actually didn't stay until lockup time one of the nights because I had finally reached a point of RC overload that day. You will get all the practice/tune time you want. We were there for all the practice days, the club race and through the weekend.
HIGHly recommended and I will be in line to do this again for '15.

Thanks Ricky, glad you had fun!
So it's worth mentioning that the track is actually open for practice on the MHIC layout Thursday morning (the 16th) with a club race starting at 6:30PM Thursday night. Club race fees are not included as part of the MHIC signup. Keeping the club race has been a tradition, and I think it's one of the best things about the event. It's by far my favorite night.
That said, you can easily show up Friday and get more than enough time on the track to be ready to go in quals Saturday morning. So nobody should feel obligated to come in on Thursday, but it's certainly and option.

Several the locals, including the current ROAR/IIC 17.5 champ are planning to run mod sedan this year, and are actively practicing it now. We also typically draw the top mod racers in North America. So if you enjoy some mod sedan, or even some mod 1/12, this race will have it!

What type of gearing were you guys running in 17.5 touring car last year? I just got a new set up and need some gearing help. I've got a 98 tooth spur, with a tekin rs spec in a top photon ex
