Hey,

The preffered 17.5 setup in 1/12 and TC is 0 degrees of motor timing and Full boost which is 30 degrees.

Bob, if you run your "dual" mode timing at 100 this will render 30 degrees also in case you have a sensor cable come out again. This will almost match the timing in the above setup so you don't lose too much speed.

I was told to rollout at 4.00 for 13.5 and 4.50 for 17.5, if that helps.

135 foot run-line, flat, carpet.

Actually, you're going to want to start with zero motor timing and full boost. I've run full boost and more timing on the motor in single cell but it's really not recommended (I'm not really shure why it even works to be honest). For gearing, start the 13.5 where a 17.5-4 cell should be and the 17.5 will probably need the same increase in rollout that you make with the 13.5 but I haven't played with 17.5 as much.

Hi,
I recently bought two rs pro speedo's and wanted to know. How do I get the 189 software and do the 17.5 redline motors have adjustable timing? Also what is the best set up for 17.5 touring car?

I too just bought 2 RS ESC's!!! I bought 1 speedo by itself and the other esc and 17.5 combo. the 17.5 does have the ajustable timing on it and it doe make a big difference.

kyosho player -
for the 17.5 I have been using the Novak setup which is 3.5-FDR, I couldnt get the right gearing in time for this past weekend and was using 4.0 with the timing advanced. the car was very smooth, I started with the mild profile and proceeded to the aggressive profile. I'm really happy with the RS ESC

Right now the team is really liking the 0 motor timing full boost timing setup using 189.

Anyone seeking 189 need only e mail me for it letting me know were you race/live so I can point out any team guys in your area:

Mac,

If you're going to run sensorless motors the R1 Pro and RS Pro will be virtually the same. I always recomend using the right esc for the application and since you're going to go sensorless get ther R1 Pro.

Just an idea, but if I was going out and buying a brand new esc, I would spend the extra 20 or 30 and get the RS, but my wife also has me on a tight rope, so I always look at resale. If you look at the for sale forun on here, anything tekin goes in a matter of minutes. Like I said this is just my opinion.

Randy I've got a couple folks here that run the tekin redline motor and were wondering how do i tell where the timing is? I saw the degree marks on the sticker but what is the key on the endbell to line up w/ the marks on the sticker?

Lastly what does the motor come from the factory with timing wise?

They come 12 degrees advanced, right? My Redline 13.5 was advanced by 12 degrees when I yanked it out of its box.
