Have to mention, I've had a quick look at the TA05 ones... pretty good, might have to get a set and chop off the middle section

I cut a chunk or really dense foam and put it over the sway inside the mount, similar to the way a real car has sway bar bushings. this allows the mount to rotate but still not have play

I use Yokomo sway bar mounts on my car. Fits exactly the same way, and it has a setscrew. The only thing is that it doesn't fit the hardest sway bar.

It does help... they have had set screw mounts on both the evo4 and 5, I guess it's just one thing that the 415 is missing...

Regards

Use a 40 or 41 pinion. I'm assuming the spur is a 102 tooth. Right?

40 or 41? Damn, I can't gear a Sports Tuned over a 38 without it dying after one race!

102/41 is only 5.59FDR on the tamiya track

Having your swaybars mounted correctly is important!
It's very easy to upset the balance and handling of the car when it's not 100%

Jet Racing makes some of the finest swaybar mounts, you can get them here: RC Models

Does anyone know where to get a stiffer front sway bar for the 415MSXX?
