Humpty is correct you are more then welcome to come out and race Saturday. If you are not part of the series race we will only charge you the normal entry fee $15.00

If I still haven't received my AMB transponder can I still run for fun at the races as just a normal entry?

Yes the races will start at 10:00, doors open at 8:00. We will be running an extra qualifier for the finals as well I've been told. The reason for starting earlier is for the awards presentation and extra folks anticipated. Any questions, please come find me on saturday at SRS.

SRS layout change!

Thanks to everyone that came out and lent a hand last night on our track maintanence/change/Z06 action…The new layout for the 5th round of the Battle in the desert will definitely be fun! Practice tonight will be from 2-10pm. We are going to complete packing a section this afternoon and should have water on it from about 5ish till 10pm. If you want to get some laps on the new layout before the race tomorrow…get out here tonight!

Battle in the Desert Round 5

Weather report for the 5th Round of the Battle in the Desert Point series race.

I have been watching the weather reports and it looks ok for tomorrow but if we happen to get rain and we can’t complete qualifying we will take the results from the last fully completed round tomorrow. If we make it to the mains and we get rain before the completion of all of the mains. We will only count your main events if all of your class has completed…ex C-Main B-Main and A-Main. If they are not all completed we will go back to the qualifying order. If we are not able to even start racing tomorrow we will reschedule this round to Saturday July 16.

Here is our schedule for tomorrow’s event-
Gates Open-12pm
Pit Setup-12pm
Store Opens-12pm
Open Practice-12pm-3:15pm
Track Maint/water 3:15-3:55
Signups-2:30pm-3:00pm
Race Starts-4pm
Track will be ran wet and watered as needed

How awesome that SRS gets a new layout every 2-3 months regardless..man I wish Nitro Guys showed up to race here! When it comes to Valley tracks there's SRS and then there is everyone else.
