Rebuild the diff with either:
the updated diff screw and nut that is standard on the Hara edition
or
us the TC3 diff screw and t-Nut
We run 3 PRO4's and we use the AE TC3 diff screws and t-nuts and this solved all our diff loosening issues. Just substitute the AE screw and nut and use the stock balls and washers.

I was at the local indoor track today and got some great coaching from one of the experienced racers. This was a big help since I'm just a newbie (only been racing for about 4 months and only participated in about 6 races).
The expert runs a Corally RDX. He suggested that once I get my driving skills perfected, I should switch to an RDX to get better lap times. I am currently running an asphalt setup on my Hara Edition, so it is not optimal for the carpet, but I'm curious about whether the Pro4 can perform as well as the latest and greatest belt drivers.
My impression from various reviews is that it can, but I'd like other views (even if this audience might be a bit biased).
I should add that so far I am finding the Pro4 a wonderful car. It is fairly easy to control, seems very consistent and predictable, is not too hard to work on, and (other than front dog bones) quite sturdy.
I think I have the front dog bone issue fixed as well by using the new thicker TC4 alu dog bones. I am a bit disappointed that I may need to invest the time and money in new upper and lower chassis plates to do well on carpet.
Thanks,
Ira

Keep the Pro4, there is nothing wrong with it. The car being predictable is the best thing for someone new to the hobby. You will become a better driver overtime with a predictable car, even if it is a bit slower. Once you get better then start experimenting with setups.
A bit of advice:
If you get another car, if possible hang onto your Pro4. That way if you have any issues with your new car you still have a car that works properly until you get your new car sorted out.

For some reason TC4's are not fast at my track. TC3's were, so it would make sense the TC4 would be .. right? Well, for some reason they aren't. Pro4's are the fast shaft car, RDX's are the current fast belt car.
Ira .. I wouldn't just jump to a new car, especially if you're newer to the hobby. Take your time with the existing car, and at least out grow it before you move onto something else. You'll learn more that way, instead of jumping to another car with a whole new learning curve. When/if the Pro4 starts holding you back lap time wise, that's the time to think about switching cars. If your still learning how to setup a car, or can't keep it off the pipes, now is not the time to bounce from car to car .. it may just frustrate you.

HPI parts are hard to get in Australia. Their previous importer/distributer didn't handle things very well and shops didn't like not being able to get anything in for their customers.
I've been told that things have changed..
Lucky for you.. MRC model parts in canberra are HPi specialists. Good prices and a bunch of nice ppl to deal with. http://www.mrcmodelcarparts.com.au/
Give them a try...

iblumberg,
I would hang in there with the pro4 also. I had one when they first came out. Had real good success with the car, then got a Xray fk04, and then a JRXS. I just picked up a pro4 hara ver. and am very happy with it. It has been the best car for me so far. I think for stock and 19T the pro4 still can stay up with the best of the cars today. Easy to tune, work on and parts are dirt cheep.

Just now getting my Pro 4 drivable. Had to find a setup for a small carpet track. If feels really good but im still about 2 sec. off the pace. I have a push problem. I had AE copper spring in the rear and will go to AE purple in rear to help. I hope that will free the car up to make up the 2 sec.

That just does not sound right. What type of tires are you using? Post your setup.
